Wie Richard Gray von WrestlingNewsWorld berichtet, soll Scott Hall vor wenigen Tagen einen Selbstmordversuch begangen haben. So soll einer seiner Freunde Scott Hall regungslos am Boden liegend in seiner Wohnung aufgefunden haben - neben einer leeren Dose Pillen und einem Abschiedsbrief. Bislang ist nicht bekannt, wieviele Pillen Scott Hall geschluckt hat, jedoch soll er den Selbstmordversuch dank seinem Freund überlebt haben, da dieser ihn noch rechtzeitig aufgefunden hat.
Anschließend stellte Richard Gray noch klar, dass er diese News von einer vertrauenswürdigen Quelle aus Scott Hall's engerem Umfeld bekommen habe, dessen Identität er geheimhalten möchte:
"Someone claiming to be a close personal friend of Scott has emailed in, denying our report. I know my source is accurate in regards to Hall but I thought it was only fair to mention the update/developmental. It's likely this person doesn't even know about what happened. I will withhold that person's name for their privacy but do not surprised if you see a similar situation with what Hall did last month when we reported on his troubles. I have received more communication with the family of Scott Hall but will release no more information regarding this story. While I have learned my decision is going to likely cause public denials from Scott Hall's camp, possibly including Kevin Nash, I will comment none further. In regards to the validity of this story, this information came from a "high-ranking" source and I stand by them 100%. The last time this source in particular was put into question - this happened. Right now all efforts need to be on the well-being of Scott Hall and not trying to prove me wrong."
