    - As seen on this week's WWE Main Event, Roman Reigns was being interviewed in the ring by Renee Young when Reigns suggested that she take off her high heels because if someone came out to attack him, she would need to run away in a hurry. This was done as another rib to Renee. It's known within WWE that Renee often doesn't wear shoes when she's working backstage. Renee was previously ribbed for this by Triple H last month on a post-show.

    - WWE is now billing Stephanie McMahon as "The principal owner of World Wrestling Entertainment" instead of "one of the principal owners." When it comes to Vince McMahon, there is some significance in that small change of wording.


    With plans falling through months ago for Vince McMahon to return to TV in time for the WrestleMania XXX storylines, the impression was given that while Vince will appear on TV when he has to, such as a tribute to a documentary, the Mr. McMahon character has been retired for the time being and Stephanie would be the McMahon owning the company on TV.

    - WWE's latest Key Performance Indicators shows that the 2014 Extreme Rules pay-per-view did 107,000 buys with 40,000 being domestic and 67,000 being international. The same event in 2012 and 2013 drew over 200,000 buys.

    - Regarding John Cena possibly winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title on Sunday, the plan as of over a week ago was for Cena to win the title but word today is that the plan may be changed after the SummerSlam poster leaked earlier this week. Apparently even if the finish is switched on Sunday and Cena doesn't win the title just yet, the plan is still for Brock Lesnar vs. champion Cena to headline SummerSlam.

    - There was at least some talk within WWE of saving Roman Reigns vs. Triple H until the September Night of Champions pay-per-view as a big match that will help push WWE Network renewals for the earlier subscribers. It was reported that Reigns vs. Kane would take place at Battleground with Reigns vs. Orton at SummerSlam, if they went that route but as we noted this morning, Reigns vs. Orton is already booked for Battleground.


    There was also talk of doing a possible swerve at Money In the Bank with Orton winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title, leading to Reigns vs. John Cena vs. Orton at Battleground. That would have been when Cena wins the title to set up Cena vs. Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
