Zitat- WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross published a new blog entry on JrsBarBq.com. Here are some highlights:
Rumors of Billy Corgan buying TNA: "The reported sale of TNA to a seemingly endless list of potential buyers is getting ridiculous. My friend Billy Corgan is 'allegedly' one of the latest suitors for the company who's own backers say isn't for sale. I have it on very good authority that Billy is not in the mix. Is there even a mix?"
What TNA could use: "TNA could utilize a makeover, for the lack of a better term, and a new approach to their presentation of the product in the opinion of some but that's not an exclusive, TNA issue and is something that many wrestling fans regularly say about other TV wrestling companies."

Newsday recently contacted TNA about reports of Billy Corgan being in talks to purchase the company. They were forwarded a copy of Janice Carter's recent internal memo where she denied the reports. Here's part of Janice's memo:
"An unfortunate aspect of this business is that there are wrestling ‘reporters’ who consistently post ‘news stories’ without proper facts. I want to assure you these are just rumors and that I am committed to TNA and its future."
Newsday also contacted a spokesperson for Corgan on Sunday. They said:
"There is no reason to comment on rumors. Billy is completely focused on Resistance Pro's upcoming 2nd anniversary [show on Nov. 23]."

As reported last week, Panda Energy's Chairman of the Board, Janice Carter (mother of TNA President Dixie Carter) issued a memo to TNA staff refuting reports that TNA is for sale. The memo has leaked online and can be viewed here:
October 31, 2013
Dear Staff,
As we embark on our "Where Action Never Ends" 365 initiative, I wanted to take this time to thank you for your dedication and enthusiasm to your company's renewed creative direction. I feel confident that, together, we are marching towards something great - a revolutionary way to experience professional wrestling.
With this said, I am aware of the false rumors currently circulating that The Carter Family and Panda Energy is attempting to sell their ownership stakes in TNA Wrestling. An unfortunate aspect of this business is that there are wrestling "reporters" who consistently post "news stories" without proper facts. I want to assure you that these are just rumors and I am committed to TNA and its future.
While I typically find that responding to such rumors is a waste of time, I wanted to use this as a moment to express my support and delight for the creative direction we are moving in. Our work has just begun and I look forward to a long and rewarding future with you and TNA.
Warm Regards,
Janice Carter
Chairman of the Board -

* Wurde SpikeTV gelistet?
* Tommy Dreamer? - Immerhin ist die Zusammenarbeit mit ihm jetzt vorhanden. Vielleicht folgt eine Übernahme?
* Shane McM.? - Fände es cool wenn er die Konkurrenz zu Pappa´s / Triple H´s WWE stellen würde.
* Hogan? - Hätte er die Kohle? Ob das wirklich klug wäre...
* Roberts? - Er wollte ja einen Spendenaufruf starten... glaube ich nicht dran!
* Jeff Jarrett? - Mein Fave (neben Shane) wurde aber gelistet und soll nun nicht dazu zählen.
* Gibts sonst irgendwelche ehemaligen? Oder wirds doch irgendeiner der zuviel Geld hat?
Denke, am Ende bei dem ganzen Hick Hack, behalten´s die Carter´s doch selbst. -

Regarding the TNA sale, one group that was rumored to be after the company, which was a name circulated online but never the lead candidate, has pulled out. The group that met with TNA officials a few weeks ago and has been the key party interested is still in play. It feels like a potential sale is cold in the sense nobody knows anything new and nothing has been talked about, and there are no signs of a transition coming. However, the leading group is still in the hunt and talking positively about making the deal. They are looking for complete ownership, and the key, is if they believe the asking price is fair.
There was some talk about the Carter family wanting to raise capital by selling a percentage and they’d keep majority ownership but the party interested is not looking for a minority interest. Jeff Jarrett, who has picked up a lot of power as of late, would be expected to gain power if this sale takes place, since he’s more than likely involved in getting the deal rolling.

- The Tennessean recently published a story featuring quotes from TNA President Dixie Carter. In the article, Dixie denies reports that the company was for sale and discussed rumors of Smashing Punkins' Billy Corgan wanting to buy TNA.
"Since we have been in business going on 12 years now, this has been an ongoing (speculation), 'Oh, we're going out of business. We're not going to make it,'" Carter said. "Ever since we started, people were taking odds on how long we would last. This last time I think a lot of it was perpetuated by a story that Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins was going to buy it.
"I texted Billy and I said, 'Oh really, so you're going to buy my company? Are you excited? That's cool.' And he said, 'Oh, don't you love rumors.'"

- All talks of a TNA sale have gotten cold in the past two weeks or so. With that said, as recent as a few weeks ago, the lead player in the game, a major celebrity who is not Billy Corgan was still saying he's looking to buy it provided the price was fair and it was a complete ownership.

Regarding a potential TNA sale, word is that TNA founder Jeff Jarrett, who has been getting more power internally, has been acting as a liaison for a group considered to be interested into buying into the company. The group, reportedly financed by country music star Toby Keith, is said to be a serious candidate to purchase majority ownership of the promotion from Panda Energy, TNA’s parent company.
According to a source who spoke under the condition of anonymity, Toby Keith’s group feels the asking price, believed to be in excess of $10 million, is too high.
The rumors surrounding Billy Corgan buying the promotion were unfounded but word is that TNA embraced the attention they received from those rumors. It’s said that serious consideration is being given by the Carter family about unloading the company if they are able to land a deal in the low eight figures.
While the talk over the last couple of years was that Jeff Jarrett, who is still a minority owner of TNA, has been that he was looking to bring on a new investor, the Carter family has indeed put a price tag on majority ownership. However, unless the price comes down, a deal is unlikely to get done.
As for Corgan, he’s had nothing to do with the potential purchase of TNA and is actually shopping a reality show about his own Resistance Pro Wrestling promotion. Footage was recently shot for a pilot episode and AMC is a network that is being targeted. The media attention generated by the TNA rumors may be incorporated into the pilot as they did film segments with Corgan where he gave his thoughts on the situation
