Big Cass sustains knee injury on Raw

Big Cass suffered an injury to his left knee during the Brooklyn Street Fight against Enzo Amore on Raw. The injury occurred after Amore dodged a big boot by pulling down the top rope, sending Cass to the floor in the process.

An initial MRI of Big Cass' left knee shows that he will require surgery.

"It looks like he has an ACL tear, possibly a medial meniscus tear, but we’re going to wait for the radiologist to evaluate the MRI and give us their full report," WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Robinson said.

The seven-footer will be undergoing surgery this week to repair the damage, which will be the start of a long road back to the squared circle.

“A typical ACL tear takes about nine months [to recover from],” Robinson said.

Enzo Amore Makes WWE 205 Live Debut

Enzo Amore made his WWE 205 Live debut on this week's show from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The debut comes just one night after he defeated Big Cass in a Brooklyn Street Fight on RAW, due to Cass suffering an injury, and two nights after he was beat up by Cass at SummerSlam following Cass' victory over Big Show. Enzo was suspended above the ring in a shark cage for most of the match but he managed to escape.

Regarding Enzo's WWE 205 Live debut, Neville retained the WWE Cruiserweight Title over Akira Tozawa in the main event and then cut a promo about being the King of the Cruiserweights. Neville was then interrupted by Enzo, who did his usual introduction and entrance. Enzo declared that 205 Live is now the realest show in the room. He also took a shot at Neville and called him "SAWFT" to end the show.

News on Plans for Cruiserweight Title and Enzo Amore on 205 Live

The plan for the Cruiserweight title is for Akira Tozawa to "fail" against Neville, leading to the next two challengers for the title - Cedric Alexander and Enzo Amore.

While moving Enzo off of Raw has been rumored for a few weeks because everyone was pissed at him, being on 205 Live he will still be in the same dressing room and on the road with the same group of wrestlers, so ultimately the move isn't much of a difference.

Enzo's merchandise sales may be significantly affected by the move but being on Raw and having time for his promos should help keep those numbers up. The hope is also that his presence on '205 Live' will help viewership of what is a struggling show.

Big Cass underwent successful surgery this past Thursday night. According to WWE.com, the surgery was performed by Dr. Jeffrey Dugas, and Cass has already begun rehabilitation.

Cass suffered a torn ACL during his Brooklyn Street Fight with Enzo Amore on this past Monday's RAW. Cass could be out of action for up to 9 months, which would put his return in May after WrestleMania 34.

Enzo Amore Reportedly Continues To Infuriate Other WWE Talent

On the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Enzo Amore continues to infuriate WWE talent and officials backstage with his constant bragging about his life in Los Angeles and the celebrities he has been hanging out with.

Just this past weekend Amore posted photos of himself with names like Jaime Foxx and Steve Harvey at the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight and he claimed to have paid $10,000 for his seat.

Amore was moved to the Cruiserweight Division and the only thing reportedly keeping him on-screen is his mic skills. Meltzer notes that he not sure how much longer Amore will last in WWE.

Chris Jericho Praises Decision To Move Enzo Amore To 205 Live, Reveals Story He Told Neville

Chris Jericho recently appeared as a guest on Busted Open Radio for an interview. During the discussion, Jericho endorsed the company's recent decision to move Enzo Amore from the RAW brand to 205 Live.

"He's one of those guys that personality-wise he's very bulletproof because he's so over-the-top and he's got such a good rap," said Jericho. "But where else is he gonna go in the headlining position, in the heavyweight division on RAW? I think it was a great move because I don't know what else you would do with him if you didn't stick him in there unless he was just gonna be a manager or a commentator."

The longtime WWE veteran would elaborate, explaining why he feels the move is good for Amore and the 205 Live brand. As Jericho explained, he will benefit from being a perfect fit for the Cruiserweight division and the brand will benefit because he will help attract more attention from the WWE Universe.

"He fits that vibe size-wise and more importantly he's gonna bring eyeballs and attention," said Jericho. "And people will actually pay attention to the matches that he's in."

With Amore being considered one of the lesser workers in the company in terms of actual in-ring ability, Jericho told a story about telling Neville months ago how one day he would be in a position to make Amore look good.

"I told Neville this months ago, I said, 'There's gonna come a time when you're gonna have to make him look good, that's the job of guys like you and me. It doesn't matter if he's good. That's not his responsibility, that's yours now,'" Jericho said. "Neville's gonna have to do anything he can to make that match work the same way that all the great workers in time do that."
