- Alexa Bliss may win the RAW Women's Championship title back from Sasha Banks next week on RAW, as the company seems to want Bliss as the women's champion. It was also suggested that the winner could also be influenced by Bayley's recovery from a shoulder injury.

- Jason Jordan may be turning heel in the very near future. When the company initially ran the Angle/Jordan storyline, the long term plan was to turn Jordan heel - perhaps in six months - but the absolute disaster of a (lack of) reaction he is getting may lead to a much quicker heel turn.
- Matches being speculated for No Mercy in September include John Cena vs. Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe vs. Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship title. Cena/Reigns was expected to happen later on, but WWE clearly put the emphasis on them at this week's RAW whereas Miz looks like he need a new opponent after the failed Jason Jordan program. If Joe vs. Miz happens, Dave Meltzer suggested that Joe will probably end up winning the Intercontinental title.
- Andrade "Cien" Almas is in for a bigger push at NXT after Bobby Roode’s top heel roster spot opens up. Almas made his NXT debut at NXT Takeover: The End in June of 2016 where he defeated Tye Dillinger. Before NXT, he made his mark as La Sombra in the Mexican promotion CMLL from 2007 until 2015. In 2009 his tag team with Volador Jr. was the CMLL Tag Team of the Year. In 2013, Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked Almas (as La Sombra) at #52 of their top 500 wrestlers of the year. Almas has been on a roll since his "business associate" Zelina Vega (formerly known as Thea Trinidad aka Rosita) became his manager. Almas received a huge win at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III when he defeated the very popular Johnny Gargano.
