Plans for Lesnar & Strowman Over the Next Few Weeks / Brock Lesnar's Next WWE Appearance

Braun Strowman was not on monday night's Raw because WWE is trying to make a concerted effort to keep the physicality between him and Brock Lesnar to a minimum before their match at No Mercy in September. Next week, Strowman will be back on Raw but Lesnar will be missing so there will be no confrontation there either. However, the week after that, both wrestlers are scheduled to be appearing together.

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is not currently scheduled for next Monday's RAW in Omaha. He is slated to appear on RAW the following week on September 11th in Anaheim, which is his last scheduled RAW before the No Mercy pay-per-view on September 24th. His last currently scheduled WWE date is the RAW live event on Saturday, September 30th in Winnipeg.

WWE Provides Ric Flair Health Update

After his hospitalization and surgery back in mid-August, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is set to begin physical therapy, according to a new announcement from WWE and a Facebook post from Flair's fiancee, Wendy Barlow.

Above is video from backstage at Tuesday's WWE SmackDown with Charlotte Flair talking to Renee Young about how her father, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, is doing after his recent hospitalization and surgery. Charlotte says these have been the hardest 2 weeks in her life but her dad is a fighter. She thanks everyone for their support and says it means a lot to her family, and most importantly to her dad. Charlotte says Ric has a long road ahead of him but the prayers & positive vibes are helping. She says she wouldn't be at SmackDown if she didn't think it was OK. Charlotte also talks about how being back with her friends, especially Becky Lynch, and getting back into the groove of things has helped her.

The dark main event after last night's tapings saw Charlotte lose to SmackDown Women's Champion Natalya after the champ used a handful of tights on the roll-up.

Rumors: Jinder Mahal's HIAC Opponent; Randy Orton vs. Rusev

On the latest Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez speculated that next week's #1 contender match between Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura could see Orton win the match and go on to challenge Mahal next month, pushing out a Nakamura/Jinder rematch several weeks.

With the next WWE Smackdown PPV not until October, there is plenty of time to set up the competitors in the "Hell in a Cell" match and the suggestion was that Nakamura/Mahal could happen there with Orton facing Rusev.

As noted before, the plan as of last week was for Rusev and Orton to begin a program, despite the nine second match at SummerSlam. As a result, it's possible we could see Rusev interfere in any potential Orton vs. Mahal title match.

Ric Flair Gives Medical Update Via Promo, Says He’s ‘Back Up And Running’ (VIDEO)

“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair says he’s “back up and running” following a recent medical scare and will be seeing his fans in the very, very near future.

Flair posted a video update from what appears to be the hospital and said, “Let it be known worldwide that Nature Boy, WOOO, is back up and running. Looking as only I can look.”

Adding, “I wanna tell all my fans out there, thank you for all the love and support and I will see you in the very, very, very, very, very, very near future. WOOO!”

He’s also wearing a shirt that says “I ain’t dead yet motherf***ers.”

Ric’s fiancée recently stated that he will begin physical therapy soon and that she’s witnessed a miracle.

WWE Hell In A Cell Main Event Determined

Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Randy Orton in the main event of last night's WWE SmackDown in Sioux Falls to become the new #1 contender to WWE Champion Jinder Mahal.

Nakamura will get his next WWE Title shot from Jinder at the October 8th Hell In a Cell pay-per-view from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
