ZitatWrestling Observer Newsletter: Emma's negotiations to work in Stardom have fallen through due to her demands
Emma, who will go by Tenille Dashwood, her real name, was in talks with Stardom in Japan to start when her WWE non-compete clause ended, but negotiations have fallen through as her asking price of $2,000 per match, plus first class tickets and full creative control weren't thought to be economically or business prudent by that company.

WWE Rumor Mill: Popular SmackDown Superstar leaving soon
The WWE Universe will miss him.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer opened up about the WWE future of James Ellsworth on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio. The veteran pro wrestling journalist weighed in on the events from SmackDown Live and speculated that the Ellsworth could be done with the company.
James Ellsworth turned into an overnight sensation when he was squashed by Braun Strowman on an episode of RAW nearly a year ago. His popularity sore and before you knew it, the Chinless Wonder was in the middle of a WWE Championship programme with AJ Styles himself. His fruitful partnership with Carmella may have come to end this week on SmackDown Live. Miss Money in the Bank superkicked Ellsworth after his loss to Becky Lynch. Meltzer specified that the post-match angle may have signified the end of the alliance. He didn't divulge any further information regarding WWE's possible plans for Ellsworth.
The former WWE title contender recently celebrated his one-year WWE anniversary with reports hinting to the end of his contract. If that is the case, we may have already seen the last of the SmackDown star as the beatdown at the hands of Carmella could be a way to write him off television.
Carmella is part of the SmackDown Survivor Series team along with Charlotte Flair, Tamina, Naomi and captain Becky Lynch. There's a high chance of Ellsworth playing spoilsport for team SmackDown at Survivor Series in a bid to exact revenge.
WWE could even send Ellsworth to the Cruiserweight division which has already seen the influx of talent from the UK division.
Despite garnering the criticism for the opportunities he is afforded, Ellsworth has been one of the most entertaining characters in the past year. Whether it was his match with Strowman, his angle with Styles and Ambrose or his run with Carmella; the creator of the No Chin Music has been an integral part of SmackDown Live.

Backstage WWE Status Updates On Sami Zayn And Kevin Owens, SmackDown Segment Edited, More
As noted, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were sent home from the current WWE European tour following Tuesday's WWE SmackDown. The two reportedly went against a WWE creative decision, which would have seen them take bumps for The New Day after Sami's singles loss to Kofi Kingston on Tuesday's blue brand show from Manchester, England.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the match finish went down as planned but the problem came during the post-match segment. Owens ran in and attacked Kofi as he was supposed to, and The New Day chased him away. Owens and Sami then left together. Apparently Sami and Owens were not supposed to leave right away as they were supposed to stay and get beat up, according to multiple sources. Other sources indicate that this was a complete miscommunication, and it's not like Owens and Sami refused to get beat up by The New Day. There are reportedly no issues related to Owens and Sami being mad about putting The New Day over. The issues were related to the two being expected to get beat up after the match, which was supposed to build their feud to a tag team match next week at SmackDown in Charlotte, NC.
Sami and Owens were told to leave the arena, go back to the hotel and fly home. They are off the current tour but everything else is up in the air. They could be back for Tuesday's SmackDown but nothing is official other than their status for the current tour.
On a related note, the pre-match segment went as it was supposed to but SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon did mess up, which forced officials to make an edit. Shane was booed when he mentioned SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan returning next week, which flustered him a bit. He then realized that fans were booing because they wanted Bryan there that night, not because they don't like him. There was an awkward edit made during that segment and this is why. There was also a mention of "men of honor" and some fans believed that was a reference to Ring of Honor but that was not the case.
There's no word yet on what was planned for Sami and Owens at the November 19th Survivor Series pay-per-view but it's believed that The New Day will be facing The Shield's Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Stay tuned for updates on their status.

Late Changes to the Survivor Series were specifically made by Vince McMahon last week
WWE announced yesterday that John Cena, who had been presented since WrestleMania 34 as a "free agent" will be returning to the ring at the 11/19 WWE Survivor Series PPV as the fifth and final member of Team Smackdown, facing Team Raw in a 5 on 5 Elimination tag team match featuring Team Raw Captain Kurt Angle, Finn Balor, Jason Jordan, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman vs. Team Smackdown Live Captain Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, Cena and Shinsuke Nakamura.
Survivor Series will be Cena's first appearance for the company since losing to Roman Reigns at the No Mercy PPV several months ago.
The announcement comes after WWE rebooted plans for the PPV a week ago, making the decision to have AJ Styles capture the WWE championship from Jinder Mahal and replace him against WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar.
The original plan for Jinder vs. Brock was to include John Cena as the guest referee, which was originally slated to be announced this Monday. PWInsider.com had initially reported Cena's role several weeks ago and confirmed it with multiple sources. We are told the changes were specifically made by Vince McMahon last week.
With Styles and Mahal swapping positions, the decision was made a week ago to have John Cena take AJ Styles spot as 5th member of team Smackdown. That leaves Jinder Mahal as odd man out and his next storyline, as well as why the decision was made to remove him from the main event of the PPV just a week out, remains to be seen.

Backstage News On Rockstar Spud's Release From Impact Wrestling, Spud To WWE Update
Rockstar Spud is confirmed to be signing with WWE, PWInsider reported today. As expected, he is pegged to be a part of the Cruiserweight division on 205 Live. Spud had been rumored to be joining 205 Live following his Impact Wrestling release. New details recently emerged on the former X Division Champion's departure from Impact Wrestling.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that Spud's release was not due to budget cuts within Impact Wrestling, but rather because Spud asked for it. Apparently there was a problem with his work visa, and with the current policies that are being enforced under the Trump administration it became difficult for Spud to get into the country.
Meltzer noted that Impact spent nearly $20,000 in legal fees straighten out any issues with the immigration offices in the U.K. so Spud can return to the U.S. Two weeks after he returned to the country, Spud asked for his release from Impact and was granted it in September.
Spud joins a list of superstars that includes Taryn Terrell, Eddie Kingston, Robbie E, Jeff Jarrett and Reno Scum, all of whom have parted ways with the company in recent weeks.
Spud tweeted last month that he is currently taking independent bookings for the month of November.
Rockstar Spud, the first-ever winner of the company's British reality competition series British Bootcamp, had been used as a wrestler, personality and even ring announcer over the course of his run with the company from 2012 through 2017. He's an excellent, versatile performer.
The recent photo Dixie Carter put out on her social media with a number of current and former Impact company wrestlers and staff was actually from a farewell dinner for Spud, who we are told is heading back to Great Britain while his visa is finalized.

MORE ON OWENS AND ZAYN LEAVING WWE TOUR
As PWInsider.com broke this afternoon, WWE sent Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were sent home from the Smackdown side of the WWE European tour.
Multiple sources have told PWInsider.com that the pair were sent home not for one reason but for several things that came up over the course of the tour.
There was an issue on last night's TV taping where the duo allegedly "did what they wanted" during the close of the segment with New Day, as opposed to being physically run off by the team.
We are also told there was a situation where Owens was allegedly complaining loudly on a tour bus after the taping, which one person decreed was "the last straw following a long few days of touring."
Another person who was on the bus cited that Owens was "just venting" and that it wasn't a major issue, but that the situation at TV may have exacerbated the situation, forcing WWE's hand.
The pair returned to the United States today.
WWE has not responded for a request for comment on the situation.

Kevin Owens And Sami Zayn Sent Home From UK Tour
Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have been sent home from WWE‘s current tour taking place in the UK. Following an appearance on SmackDown Live last night, sources tell us the duo left the tour this morning. Two independent sources say Sami and Kevin were sent home as some sort of disciplinary move.
---
Details On Why Sami Zayn And Kevin Owens Were Sent Home From UK Tour
Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn went against a creative directive given to them before SmackDown last night and we’re told it contributed to them being sent home.
Multiple sources tell us Sami and Kevin were supposed to “feed” for New Day following Zayn vs. Kofi Kingston yesterday, but for some reason they didn’t follow directions and left the ring.
The PWTorch glossary of insider wrestling terms defines “feeding” as: “The heel’s role during a babyface comeback where he runs at the babyface only to be repeatedly fended off, with the hope that the series of bumps by the heel will generate positive fan heat for the babyface.”
Owens hit the ring as soon as the match ended and attacked Kofi as planned. However, he and Sami quickly bailed from the ring. New Day then stood waiting, same for the sound crew who didn’t play anyone’s music, and the segment ended awkwardly when the two wrestlers seemingly went off script by not taking their planned beating afterward.
Since publishing the story on Owens/Zayn being sent home, multiple sources reached out saying the duo have been slightly difficult to work with lately and seem unhappy backstage.
It’s worth noting that they were both close with recently fired writer Jimmy Jacobs and Neville (who hasn’t been heard from since walking out).
Stay tuned for more updates.

Another title set to change hands before Survivor Series (contains major spoiler)
According to our sources, Charlotte Flair vs Alexa Bliss is being discussed for Survivor Series and is highly likely to happen.
If finalised, Charlotte Flair will defeat Natalya on next week’s SmackDown. The WWE were originally planning on switching the title at Starrcade on November 25th- an event that will be attended by Ric Flair.
Ric Flair’s ESPN 30 for 30 documentary is one of the reasons the WWE want to pull the trigger on the title change immediately. The critically acclaimed documentary aired this week and has been the recipient of much media attention. However, our source has also indicated that there are others reasons for the company wanting to hot-shot the title, which include; the company preferring Charlotte Flair to go over Alexa Bliss rather than Natalya, in addition to, wanting to keep Charlotte Flair away from Asuka. The company view Asuka and Charlotte as a money encounter and do not want the pair to cross paths until they are involved in a significantly built program with each other.
As we previously reported, the company booked themselves into a corner with the 10-woman tag match- as they wanted to adhere to the plan to have Team SmackDown win, whilst having Asuka on Team Raw and needing to keep her unbeaten. In the end, the company conceded that all three were impossible and are now opting to put Team Raw over, subsequently changing the outcome of the Bliss vs Natalya match to Natalya winning instead of Bliss, in order to even things out on the women’s side. This is now likely to be switched to Charlotte vs Bliss, which will mean Charlotte will beating Bliss instead- an outcome the company are far more content with.

Why AJ Styles Beat Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship
Last night on SmackDown, AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship, a move that left many fans shocked, and many others were delighted by this. However, Pro Wrestling Times has since learned this was not done for the sake of doing a title change. In fact, this move had been planned for a number of weeks and was mostly influenced by Brock Lesnar.
Sources with direct knowledge of the situation say that the last time Brock was at TV, he went to Vince McMahon and expressed to him that he had neither intention nor desire to work with Jinder Mahal after his segment that night was finished, even going so far as to threaten to no show Survivor Series unless there was a title change before his next scheduled appearance, which is this coming Monday on Raw. This confrontation with Vince McMahon indicates that Brock felt a match with Jinder Mahal would not be a money match and would also be a waste of a few of his contracted dates, in which he only has so many in one year, including select live events.
We also understand that since WWE only goes to Europe only so often, many officials felt a world title change would be a great way to treat the fans in attendance for the show. This also marks the first time in WWE history that a world title has changed hands outside of North America since it's inception in 1963, where Buddy Rogers won a tournament in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil to become the inaugural champion.
At this time, it is unknown whether or not AJ Styles will remain WWE Champion following Survivor Series or lose it back to Jinder Mahal in time for the upcoming India tour, and we will have updates on the matter when they are made available. -

From the WWE Rumor Mill: Possible reason why Jinder Mahal lost the WWE Championship
Jinder Mahal may be nursing an injury.
Jinder Mahal lost his match while trying to defend the WWE Championship against AJ Styles. The title loss came as a shock as Mahal was expected to be the champion for a longer time, with the WWE's tour of India coming up in December.
Jinder Mahal won the WWE Championship from Randy Orton at Backlash. He then managed to retain the title against Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura largely thanks to help from the Singh Brothers. The loss of the title was a complete shock as it came on an episode of SmackDown Live, not at a pay-per-view event.
Several reports have suggested that the recently deposed WWE Champion was working through an injury, but Mahal denied these rumours in an ESPN interview. However, this title change has only given these rumours more credibility.
WWE wants Jinder Mahal to be in good condition heading into the India tour as he is set to be a marquee attraction. However, they will not want to risk any aggravation to an already injured Mahal as that would hamper the tour.
As a result of this title change, AJ Styles will face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series instead of Jinder Mahal. Brock Lesnar has never been the most careful worker on the WWE roster, and Mahal could've easily aggravated his injury while working with the Beast Incarnate.
There's already plenty of speculation that Jinder Mahal could win the WWE title back from AJ Styles when WWE tours India in December.
