Es ist momentan so gekommen, wie ich es mir seit der 1. Meldung einer Gerichtsverhandlung dachte - eine unendliche Geschichte.
Deswegen bin ich auch in keinster Weise überrascht.
Als ob ein "Bart" für mehr Respekt und Glaubwürdigkeit stehen würde. Irgendwie scheint der gute JoMo nach den Eskapaden mit und um Melina an einer Störung der Fremdwahrnehmung zu leiden. Sollte er sein Verhalten beispielsweise im Backstage nicht ändern, dann wird es für ihn immer ein Traum bleiben um einen Titel bei WM zu kämpfen. Die einzige Chance für ein Titelmatch bei WM wäre, dass andere vor ihm verletzungsbedingt ausfallen würden, die eher aus Sicht von Vinnie Mäc ein Spot verdient haben.
Gelsenkirchen - In den vergangenen Wochen war es die meistdiskutierte Personalie bei den "Knappen", nun hat sich Manuel Neuer entschieden: Der Nationaltorhüter wird seinen bis zum 30. Juni 2012 datierten Vertrag beim FC Schalke 04 nicht verlängern.
Dies hatte der 25-Jährige den Clubverantwortlichen in den vergangenen Tagen in einem persönlichen Gespräch mitgeteilt.
Neuer sucht die Veränderung
"Ich habe diesen Entschluss ohne Einfluss von außen getroffen. Alle anderen Spekulationen entbehren jeglicher Grundlage", sagt Neuer.
"Die Entscheidung hat weder etwas mit dem Trainerwechsel oder irgendeiner Personalie bei einem anderen Verein zu tun. Ich habe Schalke und seinen einzigartigen Fans eine Menge zu verdanken. Ich möchte mir aber nach 20 Jahren Vereinstreue die Möglichkeiten zu einer Veränderung offen halten."
Volle Konzentration auf S04 in den kommenden Spielen
Schalkes Vorstandsmitglied Horst Heldt bestätigt: "Wir haben diese Nachricht schweren Herzens zur Kenntnis genommen und müssen sie akzeptieren und respektieren." Trotzdem dürfe man jedoch nicht außer Acht lassen, dass Schalke 04 mit dem Halbfinale in der Champions League gegen Manchester United und dem Endspiel um den DFB-Pokal gegen den MSV Duisburg noch große Ziele verfolgt.
"Diese stehen für uns jetzt im Vordergrund. Wie es nun mit Manuel Neuer weitergeht, werden die kommenden Wochen und vielleicht Monate zeigen. Doch nun beschäftigen wir uns mit den anstehenden sportlichen Aufgaben. Alles Weitere wird zu gegebener Zeit erfolgen."
Manuel Neuer ergänzt: "Ich habe diese Entscheidung getroffen und wollte sie jetzt bekanntgeben. Nun aber gilt die volle Konzentration den Saisonzielen des FC Schalke 04. Ich bin wie Horst Heldt der Meinung, dass Ruhe ein wesentlicher Faktor ist, um in den kommenden Spielen so erfolgreich wie möglich zu sein."

Trainer Frank Schaefer hört zum Saisonende als Bundesligatrainer beim 1. FC Köln auf. Der beliebte Coach gibt persönliche Gründe für seinen Rückzug an, bleibt aber in noch ungeklärter Funktion dem Club erhalten. Wer Nachfolger bei den "Geißböcken" wird, ist derzeit völlig offen.
Nach dieser freiwilligen Demission muss sich Köln zum Sommer einen neuen Cheftrainer suchen. "Das ist mir nicht leicht gefallen, aber in der jetzigen Situation die richtige Entscheidung. Aufgrund der letzten Tage hatte ich das Gefühl, dass ich den Verein belaste", begründete der 47-Jährige bei einer kurzfristig angesetzten Pressekonferenz seinen Ausstieg aus dem Profigeschäft.
Zuvor hatte Schaefer das Team nach dem Vormittagstraining darüber informiert, dass er seine Arbeit mit der Lizenzspielermannschaft nicht fortsetzen werde.
Finke macht's nicht
Die Verantwortlichen des Bundesligisten zeigten sich mehr oder weniger überrascht vom Rückzug des bei den Fans und im Team äußerst beliebten Trainers. "Das ist eine sehr mutige und außergewöhnliche Entscheidung", befand Sportdirektor Volker Finke, der sein Comeback als Trainer erneut ausschloss.
Präsident Wolfgang Overath sagte, dass er nach einem langen Gespräch mit Schaefer in der Vorwoche nicht den Eindruck gehabt habe, dass der Trainer schon eine Entscheidung getroffen hatte.
"Das hat es erschwert"
Schaefer betonte, dass sein Rückzug aus "persönlichen Gründen" erfolgt sei. Die Arbeit sei sehr intensiv gewesen und habe viel Kraft gekostet, meinte der FC-Coach. Allerdings scheint ein Vorgang aus der Vorwoche seine Entscheidung beeinflusst zu haben. "In der vergangenen Woche sind Dinge aus der Mannschaftssitzung in die Öffentlichkeit gelangt. Das geht nicht, das darf nicht sein. Das hat die Arbeit erschwert", sagte Schaefer.
Nun seien die FC-Profis gefragt. «Ich sehe das als letzte Möglichkeit. Die Spieler müssen jetzt den Tunnelblick aufnehmen und den Fokus auf die restlichen Spiele setzen.» Mit 35 Punkten und sechs Zählern Vorsprung auf den 16. Platz bei noch vier ausstehenden Spielen ist der Klassenverbleib noch nicht geschafft.
Schaefer wird dem Club auf jeden Fall erhalten bleiben. "Ich werde dem Verein treubleiben", sagte der Trainer. In welcher Funktion, ob als U23-Coach, Nachwuchskoordinator oder im Juniorenbereich, soll sich nach der Saison klären.
Skibbe im Gespräch
Als Nachfolger für das Bundesligateam wird auch der frühere Frankfurter Michael Skibbe gehandelt. Finke betonte zuletzt, dass es weder Kontakte noch Planungen in diese Richtung gegeben habe. "Wir haben den Bedarf nicht gesehen, weil wir davon ausgegangen sind, dass Schaefer nach dem Klassenverbleib seinen Vertrag verlängert", sagte der Kölner Sportdirektor. Eine eigene Rückkehr auf den Trainingsplatz schließt der frühere Freiburger Coach aus. "Ich habe für mich diese grundsätzliche Entscheidung getroffen, nicht mehr täglich auf dem Platz zu arbeiten."
Schaefer, der seit 1982 mit nur kurzer Unterbrechung als Junioren- und Co-Trainer für den 1. FC Köln tätig ist, hat den Club als Nachfolger des glücklosen Zvonimir Soldo wieder in die Erfolgsspur geführt. Von 21 Spielen seit dem 24. Oktober 2010 gewannen die "Geißböcke" unter dem neuen Coach neun Partien, drei endeten remis und in neun Begegnungen unterlagen die Kölner.
Zuletzt gelang dem Club eine Siegesserie von sieben Spielen vor heimischem Publikum, erst am vergangenen Wochenende verloren die Kölner erstmals wieder ein Heimspiel gegen den VfB Stuttgart.
