ROH „Supercard Of Honor XI“ (01.04.2017 – Lakeland, Florida): Zwei Absagen / Viertes & fünftes Match offiziell bestätigt

Am Samstag, den 01. April 2017 findet in Lakeland, Florida das ROH-Event „Supercard Of Honor XI“ statt. Auf ROHWrestling.com wurde nun das vierte und fünfte Match für das besagte Event offiziell bestätigt: Ein International Tag Team Showdown zwischen Will Ospreay & Volador Jr. und Dragon Lee & Jay White sowie ein Six Man Tag Team Match zwischen Bully Ray & The Briscoes (Mark & Jay Briscoe) und Adam „Hangman“ Page & The Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Roa). Gleichzeitig wurde auch bekannt, dass die NJPW-Stars Jushin „Thunder“ Liger & YOSHI-HASHI aufgrund von Visa-Problemen unglücklicherweise nicht am besagten Event teilnehmen können.

The eyes of the wrestling world will be on the Lakeland Center on Saturday, April 1 as stars from around the globe converge in Central Florida for SUPERCARD OF HONOR XI. Top competitors from Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro-Wrestling and CMLL will do battle in the biggest night of hard-hitting, fast-paced, in-your-face action in Ring of Honor history!

Unfortunately, due to delays in US visa processing NJPW stars Jushin Liger and YOSHI-HASHI will be unable to attend Supercard of Honor as originally planned. We apologize to fans excited to see these 2 performers, and share your disappointment in the unavoidable situation.

Ring of Honor and NJPW officials are excited to announce replacement talent for Supercard of Honor… New Japan stars, and former IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, The Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga and Tanga Roa) have been added to to the Supercard of Honor lineup and will join fellow Bullet Club member Hangman Page in a 6-Man Tag Team Showdown against the team of The Briscoes and Bully Ray!

The ROH Board of Directors has already announced several big matches and first-time appearances from New Japan and CMLL stars! And now, the ROH Board of Directors has signed a tag team match-up with four of the world’s best young stars!

INTERNATIONAL TAG TEAM SHOWDOWN!
WILL OSPREAY & VOLADOR JR. vs. DRAGON LEE & JAY WHITE

CMLL star Volador Jr. makes his ROH debut in Lakeland, FL and he is teaming with someone who knows how to create a first impression! In his very first ROH match, “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay shocked the world and captured the ROH World Television title from Bobby Fish. The duo of Volador Jr. and Ospreay will take to the skies against the team of CMLL star Dragon Lee and Jay White in Lakeland!

Volador Jr. comes from a long line of luchadors. The son of Super Parka and the nephew of La Parka, Volador Jr. has created his own path, winning over fans around the globe, competing with CMLL and in New Japan Pro-Wrestling in their joint FantasticaMania events. He teams with fellow fan favorite Will Ospreay but questions have arisen if the two can coexist. Ospreay defeated Volador Jr. in the final match of their block in the 2016 Best of the Super Juniors, eliminating Volador Jr. and propelling Ospreay to the block win, the finals, and ultimately the tournament.

Standing across the ring are Dragon Lee and Jay White! Dragon Lee recently continued his feud with the former KAMAITACHI (now known as Hiromu Takahashi) over the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship at New Beginning. Dragon Lee is no stranger to Ospreay in the United States as the two have competed in three-way bouts at Final Battle and on Ring of Honor Wrestling and the two were recently on opposite sides of a six man tag team match at Fantastica Mania.

Jay White began his ROH career with a near-nine-month undefeated streak and has been pegged by fans and observers alike as a future champion. White has been on the opposite side of the ring before from Ospreay in New Japan tag team competition but has teamed with Volador Jr.! White and Lee teamed together exactly once on the first night of Fantastica Mania 2016!
