ROH „Masters Of The Craft“ (29.04.2017 – Hopkins, Minnesota): Matt Taven vs. Adam Cole offiziell bestätigt

The ROH Board of Directors has been hard at work finalizing bouts at the last event before the War of the World Tour commences and two men with scores of history will compete in a one-on-one bout!

MATT TAVEN vs. ADAM COLE

Following his victory in the 2013 Top Prospect Tournament, Matt Taven went on to defeat Adam Cole in his very first match as a signed ROH star at 11th Anniversary and captured the ROH World Television Championship. Since then, the two men’s careers have been heavily intertwined.

As Cole went on to capture the ROH World Title, Taven unsuccessfully challenged him for the title in 2014. In 2015, the two joined forces with Mike Bennett and Maria to launch the Kingdom. Taven and Bennett lost the ROH World Tag Team titles to War Machine at Final Battle 2015 when Taven tore his ACL and claims that Cole never called or checked in with him. Since that moment, Taven has become resentful of Cole, who insulated himself with Bullet Club and has won the ROH World Title two more times, the only championship in ROH that Taven has never won.

Cole, who tried to fire the Young Bucks from Bullet Club, claims all is copesetic within their ranks, but one has to wonder what his psyche is like following his World Title loss. Could Taven avenge an old foe and gather some momentum heading into his World Title shot? Or will Cole get things back on track and pick up the victory on his own quest to win the World Championship for a record fourth time?
