ROH „War Of The Worlds Tour“ (10.05.2017 – Dearborn, Michigan): Tetsuya Naito vs. Punishment Martinez offiziell bestätigt

Officials from NJPW and ROH have been working around the clock to finalize matches for the War of the Worlds Dearborn stop. A Transpacific grudge match has been signed that has been boiling back to the Honor Rising Tour!

IWGP INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION TETSUYA NAITO vs. PUNISHMENT MARTINEZ

Punishment Martinez has not been afraid to demonstrate that he is his own man. Recently on Ring of Honor wrestling, Martinez laid out his tag team partner BJ Whitmer following a victory against the now-IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions War Machine. Martinez has become a man trying to form his own path and even before showing Whitmer very physically that that was the case, he teamed with Los Ingobernables de Japon on the Honor Rising Tour and turned down their pre-match routine.

Following LIJ’s victory over Dalton Castle, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Ryusuke Taguchi, Naito gave Martinez a one-finger salute that translates anywhere across the world. The two will finally do battle at War of the Worlds – Dearborn!

Martinez has become one of ROH’s hottest up and coming stars with wins over Frankie Kazarian and Hanson, keeping the momentum going seemingly gained after he trended worldwide on Twitter following his impressive performance at 15th Anniversary. He will stand face-to-face with his biggest challenge to date in Dearborn facing former IWGP Heavyweight Champion and current IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito in a non-title grudge match! Naito, too, is on a roll, with recent title defense wins over Tanahashi and Michael Elgin!

These two stars will do battle in a match several months in the making! They are finally in the same country and they will waste no opportunity to settle this score in Dearborn!
