PCO verlässt Ring of Honor

PCO sprach vergangene Woche im „Pro Wrestling 4 Life“ Podcast mit Sean „X-Pac“ Waltman, Nick Hausman und Ron Funches. Hier ließ er seinen Run bei Ring of Honor (ROH) Review passieren, sprach über seine Zusammenarbeit mit Waltman in der WWF, über Vince McMahon und vielem mehr.

Wie Dave Meltzer vom Wrestling Observer zusammenfassend berichtet, endet der Exklusiv-Vertrag von PCO bei Ring of Honor (ROH) zum 01.12.2021. Zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt ist auch nicht davon auszugehen, dass Pierre Carl Ouellet (PCO) bis dahin nochmal im ROH TV auftauchen wird.

„I’ve been treated super good and I’m super happy with all the people I’ve met. Coming December 1, I’ll probably be a free agent. It will be interesting to see where everything is going, either with Ring of Honor or whatever. The Indies could be a great place to start things up. There’s not a day that I’m not getting hit by someone for shows. I’m under an exclusive contract right now and I couldn’t take any work for the last three years for any Indie companies other than the one’s we were doing business, which was New Japan or CMLL, which got broken, or PWG, I don’t know where we stand with them now.“

Der ehemalige ROH World Champion war zuletzt in einer Allianz mit Danhausen zu sehen und war Teilnehmer in der 16 Man Honor Rumble bei „Death before Dishonor“ am 12.09.2021. Bezogen auf gerade angesprochene Allianz und die aktuellen Entwicklungen, meint PCO weiter:

„I think we haven’t even tapped into so much potential of my character. That’s why I’m still working hard and I think I have so much more mileage in the character. We haven’t worked on so much things yet. I feel like Ring of Honor is great wrestling company, pure wrestling and things like that, not so much a character company for me like WWE where they can explore with tons of money massively something like that.“

Der eigentlich 2010 vom Pro-Wrestling zurückgetretene PCO unterschrieb 2018 bei ROH nachdem er am „WrestleMania Weekend“ den ehemaligen NXT UK Champion WALTER in einem absolut mitreißendem Kampf, der in Standing Ovations endete, besiegte und von da an zum ernstzunehmenden Hart-Hitter, mit übermenschlichen Fähigkeiten und einer erstaunlichen Beweglichkeit mutierte.
