TNA Wrestling verliert TV-Deal in England: *SPOILER* schuld? – TNA Wrestling veröffentlicht offizielles Statement

Challenge TV hat nun in einer offiziellen Mitteilung bestätigt, dass man ab Januar 2017 in England keine IMPACT Wrestling & Xplosion TV-Shows sowie Pay-Per-Views von TNA Wrestling mehr ausstrahlen wird Diese Neuigkeit dürfte TNA Wrestling wie ein Schlag treffen, da der TV-Deal mit Challenge TV in England neben dem TV-Deal mit SONY Six in Indien zu den beiden größten und wichtigsten TV-Deals von TNA Wrestling außerhalb der USA gehört. Challenge TV strahlte seit dem Jahr 2011 die Shows von TNA Wrestling aus. Nachfolgend die offizielle Mitteilung von Challenge TV:

„We know that many TNA fans will be disappointed to hear this, but we wanted to let you all know that as of January 2017, Challenge will no longer be the home of TNA in the UK. TNA has been a huge and important part of Challenge’s story over the years and we will treasure some great moments like the British Bootcamp and UK tours. We have been proud to bring UK viewers coverage of TNA and have huge respect for the company and its fans. TNA is packed with great talent and we know they will continue to do great things – we wish them all the best.“

Mittlerweile hat auch TNA Wrestling mit einem offiziellen Statement auf den Verlust des TV-Deals in England reagiert und macht die Veröffentlichung von IMPACT Wrestling TV-Taping SPOILER für diesen Umstand verantwortlich:

„We are proud to have had such a great relationship with Challenge, and appreciate how the channel brought Impact Wrestling to our avid viewers through the years. In today’s world, spoilers are inevitable. We’ve heard from the amazing fans in the UK and know you do not want to wait 3-5 days to watch the program after it airs in the US. Our goal is to broadcast Impact Wrestling in the UK as close to the US premiere as possible. We look forward to announcing that opportunity soon, so stay tuned. In the meantime, we hope you continue to watch Impact Wrestling on Challenge, Sunday nights at 9pm, as well as Xplosion and pay-per-views and follow us on social media. Thank you.“

Als kleine Randnotiz sei an dieser Stelle angemerkt, dass TNA Wrestling aufgrund erheblicher finanzieller Probleme der Company auch keine traditionelle MAXIMUM IMPACT Tour durch England im Januar / Februar 2017 veranstalten wird.

Durch den Verlust des TV-Deals in England wird TNA Wrestling ab Januar 2017 noch weniger Geld zur Verfügung haben, als ohnehin schon. Auch der TV-Deal in Indien soll jüngsten Gerüchten zufolge in Gefahr sein, da TNA Wrestling die im vergangenen Jahr abgesagte Indien-Tour eigentlich in diesem Jahr nachholen wollte und dies aus finanziellen Gründen nicht kann, wodurch die Company Vertragsbruch begeht, da der Vertrag mit SONY Six eine Indien-Tour pro Jahr vorsieht. Auch hier bleibt die Entwicklung in den kommenden Tagen und Wochen abzuwarten.
