Alberto Del Rio erleidet Gehirnerschütterung bei RAW / Rückkehr von Christian

– Wie die WWE auf WWE.com offiziell verkündet, hat sich WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio während der gestrigen Slammy Award 2013 Episode von RAW in seinem Match gegen Sin Cara (Hunico) eine Gehirnerschütterung zugezogen: „WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio suffered a concussion during a match with Sin Cara on the Dec. 9 edition of Raw, according to WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann. After speaking with Del Rio following his match, it was determined that he suffered the injury as a result of a top-rope sunset flip powerbomb. Following some initial testing, Dr. Amann diagnosed Del Rio with a concussion and will be re-evaluating him tomorrow, as well as administering an ImPACT test to determine a timetable for the former World Heavyweight Champion’s recovery.“ Es bleibt abzuwarten, wann Alberto Del Rio wieder aktiv in den Ring steigen darf.

– Beim gestrigen Slammy Awards 2013 RAW Special feierte WWE Superstar Christian seine Rückkehr aus der Verletzungspause und präsentierte im Vorfeld der RAW Ausgabe via WWE App den Slammy für den “THIS IS AWESOME!” Moment of the Year. Kurz darauf war „Captain Charisma“ noch bei Renee Young via WWE App für ein Interview bereit, wo er verkündete, dass er nicht nur seit August 2013 aufgrund einer schweren Gehirnerschütterung pausiert habe, sondern seine Pause noch ein wenig verlängert hätte, da er Vater geworden sei und seine Frau eine gesunde Tochter zur Welt gebracht hat: „It’s been kind of a rough go since I was taken out of action a few months back by The Shield, which I haven’t forgotten yet. I had a pretty bad concussion. I had some recurring concussion symptoms and things like that. A lot of stuff going on in my life. Actually, I don’t talk about my personal life all that too much, I’ll do it this one time only, some breaking news here on the App. It’s a blessing in disguise that I got to be home because I welcomed my first child. Had a baby girl, so I was pretty happy about that. And that’s the last time you’ll ever hear me talk about my personal life.“ In der RAW Episode selbst hatte Christian am Ende der Show einen Auftritt, wo er zusammen mit anderen ehemaligen WWE Champions und ehemaligen World Heavyweight Champions bei der Championship Ascension Ceremony im Ring zu sehen war.
