Bad News Barrett Videointerview / Mögliche Matches für WWE Extreme Rules 2015 und geplante Matches für WrestleMania 32 / Neue Trademarks / 2015: The Year Of The Woman?

– Im allwöchentlichen WWE.com Exklusiv-Videointerview war in dieser Woche Bad News Barrett bei Byron Saxton zu Gast und sprach dort u.a. über sein bevorstehendes WWE Intercontinental Championship Match gegen Daniel Bryan bei WWE Extreme Rules 2015 sowie die Gründe, warum Daniel Bryan kein wahrer WWE Intercontinental Champion ist:

– Bislang sind für den WWE Extreme Rules 2015 Pay-Per-View mit dem WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match zwischen Seth Rollins (c) und Randy Orton, dem WWE United States Championship Match zwischen John Cena (c) und Rusev sowie dem WWE Intercontinental Championship Match zwischen Daniel Bryan (c) und Bad News Barrett bekanntlich insgesamt drei Matches offiziell bestätigt. Es wird erwartet, dass die besagten drei Matches möglicherweise noch eine Stipulation erhalten werden. Laut Informationen vom Wrestling Observer sollen für den WWE Extreme Rules 2015 Pay-Per-View u.a. noch folgende weitere Matches geplant sein: Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper, Cesaro & Tyson Kidd (c) vs. The Lucha Dragons um die WWE Tag Team Championship Titel, Nikki Bella (c) vs. Naomi um den WWE Divas Championship Titel sowie entweder ein Roman Reigns vs. Big Show Match oder aber ein Tag Team Match zwischen Big Show & Kane und Roman Reigns & Ryback. Auch hier kann erwartet werden, dass das ein oder andere Match noch eine Stipulation erhalten wird.

– Weiter wird berichtet, dass die WWE aktuell für WrestleMania 32 mit einem Match zwischen Triple H und The Rock sowie einem Match zwischen Stephanie McMahon und Ronda Rousey planen soll. Zwar soll die WWE bis vor kurzem noch ein Match zwischen The Rock und Brock Lesnar für WrestleMania 32 in Betracht gezogen haben, diese Pläne sollen von der WWE jedoch mittlerweile bereits gänzlich verworfen worden sein. Neben diesen beiden Matches werden für WrestleMania 32 auch ein Match zwischen The Undertaker und Sting sowie ein Triple Threat Match zwischen Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins und Dean Ambrose, möglicherweise um den WWE World Heavyweight Championship Titel, gerüchtet. Ob man die geplanten Matches auch tatsächlich in die Tat umsetzen kann, werden die kommenden Monate zeigen.

– Die WWE hat sich kürzlich einige neue Begriffe rechtlich schützen lassen: „Superfriends Crew“ (Name für ein neues Stable), The New Face Of Fear (für Bray Wyatt), Halloween Havoc, StarCade, Lone Wolf (für Baron Corbin), The Vigilante (für Sting), WWE Nation, Anti-Diva (für Paige), Athletic Diva sowie The Beast Within‘ (offenbar für Brock Lesnar).

– Mick Foley hat nun in einem kleinen Blog auf Facebook gefordert, dass die WWE das Jahr 2015 zum „The Year Of The Woman“ erklären sollte:

THE YEAR OF THE WOMAN!

I’m never going to call Madusa „Alundra Blayze“ – even if that’s the name she went into the ‪‎WWE‬ Hall of Fame as. She’s Madusa to me – always has been, always will be. Even as she was giving her acceptance speech as Aluandra Blayze, I found myself talking about her as Madusa as her speech sunk in, and it slowly dawned on me just how important her words were. I went from saying „I don’t know about this Madusa speech“ and „Madusa’s being a little confrontational here“ to „Madusa’s making some good points“ to „way to go Madausa“ to „wow, Madusa just gave one of the best speeches I’ve ever heard.“

Ten days after the fact, I not only feel as if Madusa gave one of the best speeches, but one of the most important as well. Hopefully, at this point, some of you out there are jumping to my defense, saying „but what about your Hall of Fame speech Mick?“ I know alot of you enjoyed my speech two years ago, and I enjoyed giving it. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed a great number of HOF speeches, from Bret Hart’s to Ric Flair’s to Jake Roberts to Butch and Luke….whoa, yay! But for me, like so many others, the Hall of Fame speech was about finding closure, expressing appreciation, and entertaining.

Madusa’s did more. From my perspective, she did find closure – urging some WWE loyalists and old-schoolers who hadn’t quite forgiven her for dumping the WWE Women’s title in the trash (yeah, I’m including myself in that group) to let go of the past, while simultaneously opening up a can of figurative whoop-ass and challenging its future. For me, the speech was a landmark event – a turning point from which the term „Diva“ suddenly seemed worn and a little insulting. „Diva“ was a great marketing idea that feels in 2015, like its outlived its usefulness.

LET’S MAKE 2015 THE YEAR OF THE WOMAN! WWE has lost one of its most unique and valuable assets with the retirement of AJ Lee. But anyone who has seen the recent WWE NXT product knows there are women bursting at the seam of progress – ready to become the next AJ, the next Paige, the new Natalya. LET’S CREATE A WOMEN’S DIVISION! LET’S MAKE 2015 THE YEAR OF THE WOMAN!

Perhaps Madusa can be their GM.
