Beim aktuellen Atlanta-RAW (01. August 2016) bestritten die amtierenden WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Big E) (w/ Xavier Woods) bekanntlich ein Tag Team Match gegen The Club (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson), welches The New Day nach knapp 90 Sekunden via Roll-Up von Big E gegen Karl Anderson gewinnen konnten. Nach dem Match verpassten The Club (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) den amtierenden WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods) einen heftigen Beatdown, bei dem Big E die meisten Attacken einstecken musste und sich laut WWE.com offenbar eine Verletzung zugezogen hat, bei der es sich um keine reale, sondern um eine „Storyline-Verletzung“ handelt:

WWE Tag Team Champion Big E suffered an injury at the hands of Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson following their match on Raw, WWE.com can confirm.

After Gallows & Anderson pulled Big E groin-first into the turnbuckle at the end of a post-match brawl between Gallows, Anderson and the entirety of The New Day, the WWE Tag Team Champion was taken to the trainer’s room. He underwent several tests and medical examinations, but WWE officials did not confirm the specifics or severity of Big E’s injury at this time.
