Beim aktuellen Toronto-RAW (21. November 2016) hat Bill Goldberg in einer In-Ring Promo am Anfang der Show offiziell bestätigt, dass er am 30-Man Royal Rumble Match beim WWE Royal Rumble 2017 teilnehmen wird. Der WWE Royal Rumble 2017 Pay-Per-View findet bekanntlich am Sonntag, den 29. Januar 2017 im Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas statt.
