Kurt Angle fällt verletzungsbedingt für TNA Lockdown 2014 aus – Ethan Carter III bekommt neuen Gegner

Kurt Angle hat nun via Twitter verkündet, dass er sich in der dieswöchigen IMPACT Wrestling Episode bei einer Attacke von Ethan Carter III eine Knieverletzung zugezogen hat und eine Operation benötigt. Demnach wird er nicht an TNA Lockdown 2014 teilnehmen und dort auch kein Match bestreiten:

„Attack by EC3 in London aired last night has taken me out of Lockdown Sunday. Surgery required but I will be back soon!“

Auch TNA Wrestling bestätigte die Verletzung mittlerweile offiziell auf IMPACTWRESTLING.com:

„TNA Wrestling officials have been informed that Kurt Angle has a torn MCL in his knee as a result of the attack by Ethan Carter on Thursday on IMPACT. Angle is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair his MCL today (Friday). As a result of this unfortunate injury, Kurt Angle will be unable to compete at Sunday’s Lockdown Pay-Per-View event against EC3. Stay tuned to ImpactWrestling.com for more updates on Kurt Angle.“

Sein Lockdown-Gegner Ethan Carter III hat inzwischen verlauten lassen, dass er trotz Ausfall von Kurt Angle ein Match bei TNA Lockdown 2014 bestreiten wird. Der neue Gegner von Ethan Carter III soll in den nächsten Stunden benannt werden und wird sehr wahrscheinlich Eric Young sein.
