We are just days from GLOBAL WARS and the WAR OF THE WORLDS TOUR! The collaborative relationship between Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling continues, bringing you matches and experiences you can’t find anywhere else! First up, on Sunday May 8th, GLOBAL WARS is coming to you LIVE on pay-per-view from Chicago Ridge. This massive event kicks off a busy week for the stars of ROH and NJPW, who are hitting the road to Dearborn, Toronto, and New York City!

Stokely Hathaway has been demanding the best competition for Moose and ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness has listened! But as the old adage goes, sometimes you have to be careful what you’ve asked for…

MOOSE w/STOKELY HATHAWAY vs. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION TETSUYA NAITO

For months, “Big Stoke” has been issuing open challenges and petitioning for big-time matches for Moose to help unlock and unleash his ROH World Championship potential. In Toronto, Moose will face one of his biggest tests yet, a match against IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Tetsuya Naito!

Naito is having the biggest year of his career, having won the 2016 New Japan Cup in March while capturing the IWGP crown at the Invasion Attack pay-per-view event following interference from Los Ingobernales! Naito is anxious to dismiss the nay-sayers who claim his championship win was possible only thanks to interference by Bushi, Evil, and Seiya Sanada and a victory over Moose would do just that.

Both men will be coming off big-time matches in Chicago Ridge and Dearborn, MI but the point to concentrate on are the interesting alliances that have been formed. Former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada will team with Moose in Chicago Ridge and has no love lost for Naito. Similarly, ROH World Champion Jay Lethal will be teaming with Naito and Dearborn and the two have formed a bond between the House of Truth and Los Ingobernables. Can Hathaway calibrate a game to defeat Naito with Okada? Will Naito’s connections with The House of Truth come into play? You’ll have to be in Toronto to find out!
