„I’m not exactly sure how I feel. My entire life, literally since I was five-years-old, I’ve done things that people not only can’t hang with me, they just can’t do. I’ve been a winner. At five-years-old, I started wrestling. I lost my first match and I’ve pretty much won ever since then. High school, college, you name it.
„And it’s not just the athletic ability that I have. I have this thing known as the ‚it factor.‘ Where you can strike up a conversation with anyone, you can step into something that’s not your comfort zone, you can go on a media circus for 12 hours and can still go to work on no sleep and go out there to the ring and do what you do better than anyone else in this business. I know it sounds like I say it lot, because I do it every single night. I swear. EVERY NIGHT. EVERY NIGHT! I deliver. I deliver.
„And, what do I get for it? I get pulled aside. ‚Hey, don’t be so good.‘ ‚Hey, you’re not doing this right, you’re doing this wrong.‘ But, you know what, I’ve seen Monday Night Raw and I’ve seen Friday Night Smackdown. I know what’s right and what’s wrong. And, if everyone is in my head telling me what’s wrong, I know that I am right. EVERYTHING I DO IS TO BECOME BETTER. THE BEST. EVER. And I’m not going to stop until I reach that point.“
„I don’t know if I can continue doing this. I’ve been told I’m a loser. I’ve been told I suck. I’ve been told I’m not tall enough. I’ve been told I’m too loud. I’ve been told I run my mouth backstage. You know why I run my mouth? Because if you can get in the ring with me – one person backstage, ONE PERSON! in the office, in the mail room, a Superstar, you name it – and one person outdoes me in this business in any aspect – in the back, in the ring, at my house, I DON’T CARE! I WILL NOT. BE. OUT. SHINED.“
