ROH „Reloaded Tour“ (17.09. – Lockport, New York): Jay Lethal vs. Silas Young offiziell bestätigt

Former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal is a man determined to remain one of the top stars in the world. After holding the ROH World Championship for over year, Lethal’s reign was among the most dominant in recent memory, holding either one or both of the ROH World singles championships for over two straight years. To some fans, the sight of Lethal without a championship is more striking than Lethal without his signature cornrows.

And that sight is as striking as it is to Lethal himself.

When things couldn’t seem to get worse, Lethal was let down in Las Vegas the day following his championship loss. Los Ingobernables de Japon and Lethal formed a loose alliance during the Honor Rising Japanese Tour in February 2016. A seeming mutual respect appeared to have formed between then-ROH World Champion Lethal and future IWGP Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Naito. That bond was broken when Naito and EVIL abandoned Lethal prior to a six-man tag team match against Bullet Club.

With his sights now set on Naito, Lethal will be in action in Lockport, NY against one of ROH’s hottest stars, “Pro Wrestling’s Last Real Man” Silas Young! Young has been on a roll in singles and tag team competition, recently defeating ACH in a Last Man Standing match, winning TAG WARS with Beer City Bruiser, and earning the respect of one of the toughest men on the planet Katsuyori Shibata after a brutal battle at the Death Before Dishonor Pay-Per-View!

While any former ROH World Champion should never be taken lightly, this may be Young’s opportunity to score the signature win he has been seeking to earn himself a championship opportunity at the ROH World or World Television Championship! For the first time since 2014, the two will meet one on one. Will Young pick up a victory that will be his biggest singles win to date or can Lethal block out the sight of seeing himself without gold around his waist, recalibrate, and once again move forward to become a champion once again?
