The Addiction have managed to hang on to the ROH World Championship through less than honorable methods, be it blatant cheating, manipulation of the rules, or thanks to the addition to their ranks in Kamaitachi. But at DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR they face perhaps the biggest threat to their reign yet in a HUGE triple threat match!
ROH fans are familiar with EVIL as the former Watanabe, but the man they will see on August 19th is virtually unrecognizable when compared to his old persona. Under the influence of former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Naito, EVIL has become an integral component of Los Ingobernables de Japon. As we saw when Tomohiro Ishii captured the ROH World Television Championship last winter, an entire title scene can change overnight! What will happen if the ROH World Tag Team Championship is won by a team that primarily competes on another continent?
But there’s yet another international team entered into the fray: Elgin and Tanahashi! They are part of a former NEVER Openweight Tag Team Championship team whose amazing chemistry seems to get better and better every time they step into a ring. Tanahashi, of course, has a well-known history as a champion and Elgin is the current IWGP Intercontinental Champion. These are two men who are no strangers to victory!
