ROH World Television Championship Match für ROH „Death Before Dishonor XIV“ Pay-Per-View am 19. August 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada offiziell bestätigt

The partnership between Ring of Honor and New Japan continues to grow stronger each day. Fans of both companies have requested talent and thought of dream matches that they would like to see take place on both sides of the Pacific.

The next bout signed by ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness is all about gold. The ROH World Television Championship will be on the line in Las Vegas!

ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPION BOBBY FISH vs. IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM CHAMPION MARK BRISCOE

Championship gold is nothing new to Mark Briscoe. In 2016 alone, Briscoe has held the NEVER OPENWEIGHT SIX MEN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP and is currently one half of the IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS with his brother Jay. But the gold that Mark Briscoe has worn around his waist has always been of the tag team variety.

While brother Jay is a two-time ROH World Champion, Mark has always dreamt of one day becoming the ROH World Television champion and he is closer than ever! After a lengthy undefeated streak in singles competition in the second half of 2015 and recent wins over “The Gift” Jason Kincaid, Stevie Richards, Roderick Strong at Best in the World, and ACH the following night, Briscoe has been named the number one contender to the ROH World Television Champion Bobby Fish!

Gold has seemingly always followed Bobby Fish, too. With Kyle O’Reilly, Fish is a three-time ROH World Tag Team champion and has twice captured the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team championships. Fish reached his own goal of singles gold when he defeated Tomohiro Ishii at Global Wars to reel in his first singles championship!

Despite the outward juxtaposition of looks and style, the similarities and history between these two stars run deep and don’t stop there. The champion Fish is well-versed in Muy Tai while Briscoe is a practitioner of a brand of martial arts he calls Redneck Kung Fu. And both are among the hardest-hitting and most-explosive Ring of Honor stars making for what experts have already declared a “pick ‘em” for Las Vegas!

These two men’s histories run deep: to capture their first ROH World Tag Team Championships, reDRagon defeated the Briscoes and reDRagon remains undefeated against the Briscoes! But the two have never met in one-on-one competition – for the very first time, these two evenly-matched stars will do battle in Las Vegas with the ROH World Championship on the line!
