Vorfall bei Live Event in Winnipeg – Batista gerät in körperliche Auseinandersetzung mit Fan

Wie Mike Johnson vom PWInsider berichtet, kam es beim gestrigen WWE Live Event in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kanada, zu einer körperlichen Auseinandersetzung zwischen „The Animal“ Batista und einem Fan hinter der Zuschauerabsperrung in der ersten Reihe, als Batista sich für sein Match gegen Big Show auf den Weg zum Ring machte.

Später stellte sich heraus. dass es sich beim besagten Fan um Cam Carson handelt, der als Morning DJ beim lokalen Radio Power 97 fungiert. Der besagte Radiosender hat den WWE Live Event im Vorfeld stark beworben und ist auch einer der Sponsoren des WWE Live Events in Winnipeg, sodass davon auszugehen ist, dass es sich hierbei möglicherweise um eine PR-Aktion handelte.

Über den Ablauf der körperlichen Auseinandersetzung zwischen Batista und Cam Carson herrscht noch Unklarheit, da aktuell laut anwesenden Fanberichten zwei verschiedene Versionen im Internet kursieren:

Version 1:

„Next Batista defeated the Big Show by count out after hitting the steel stairs. Before the match started Batista got into argument with fan at ringside which then followed by Batista shoving the fan to the ground then flipping he crowd off and leaving to the back. Big Show called him „Ba Bitch Ta“ at which point a pouting Batista came back out and match finally begun. It didn’t look like a plant in the crowd or anything pre-planned to get Batista heat it sure looked like a shoot as it looked loke either the fan or Batista were seconds away from jumping the rail. I thought Batista came off incredibly unprofessional!!“

Version 2:

„Batista began jawing with Carson before the match and when he turned to return to the ring, Carson hit him in the back/shoulder area, according to one fan that was sitting nearby. That led to Batista forcefully shoving him down. Carson tried to get over the rail but was stopped and spoken to by security – yet allowed to remain. Batista then began wrestling Big Show in a singles match. Later on, Batista flipped the finger to Carson as he passed him while circling the ring. That led to Carson „losing it“ and trying again to hop the rail, at which point he was walked out by security.“

Sollte es sich hierbei nicht um eine vorher abgesprochene PR-Aktion, sondern um einen wahren Angriff auf einen Fan handeln, so wird Batista seitens der WWE eine hohe Geldstrafe erwarten. Mark Henry ließ im vergangenen Jahr bei einem Interview verlauten, dass die Höhe der Geldstrafe bei einer Handgreiflichkeit gegenüber eines Fans bei 10.000 $ liegt.
