Wer gewinnt die IC Title Battle Royal bei Battleground? / Backstage-News zum Push von Cesaro / Renee Young wird „Fulltime“ Kommentatorin von „WWE Superstars“

– WrestlingCorner.de berichtete bereits an anderer Stelle, dass bei WWE Battleground 2014 am 20. Juli eine Battle Royal um den vakanten WWE Intercontinental Championship Titel ausgetragen wird. Nun berichtet Dave Meltzer in der neuesten Ausgabe vom Wrestling Observer Newsletter, dass laut aktuellen Planungen der WWE, Cesaro der Top-Favorit auf den Gewinn des WWE Intercontinental Championship Titels bei WWE Battleground 2014 sein soll. Neben Bray Wyatt und Roman Reigns soll Cesaro von den WWE Offiziellen für einen Top Spot bei WrestleMania 31 im kommenden Jahr vorgesehen sein, weshalb der „King Of Swing“ beginnend mit dem besagten Titelgewinn langsam für seine große Rolle bei WrestleMania 31 aufgebaut werden soll. 

– Renee Young ist beginnend mit der WWE Superstars-Episode vom Donnerstag, den 03. Juli 2014 ein festes Mitglied des WWE Superstars-Kommentatorenteams und wird die heutige Show zusammen mit Tom Phillips kommentieren. Renee Young äußerte sich wie folgt zu ihrer neuen Rolle: 

„I feel there is definitely a certain amount of pressure, not only as a performer and broadcaster but representing women who may not even know this is something that they want to do. I can show other women that if you’re not a Diva and you still want to be involved in WWE, there’s so much you can do. It’s definitely really cool to be in the position to create a bit of a niche for myself and other women.“

Auch Triple H meldete sich zur neuen Aufgabe von Renee Young zu Wort: 

„It has nothing to do with her being a female or not, it has to do with her being the right person for the job. She’s got a great voice that cuts through the clutter. She is very knowledgeable about WWE, about its history, about the talent and she is really willing to step up and do her homework.“
