Dezember 2016 trat Curtis Axel beim RAW Live Event in St. Louis, Missouri erstmals nach langer Zeit wieder mit dem AxelMania-Gimmick auf und bestritt als Babyface an der Seite von Sin Cara, Darren Young &amp; The Golden Truth (Goldust &amp; R-Truth) ein 10-Man Tag Team Match gegen Bo Dallas, Jinder Mahal, Titus O&#8217;Neil &amp; The Shining Stars (Primo &amp; Epico), bei dem sich die Babyfaces erfolgreich durchsetzen konnten. Anwesende Zuschauer berichten, dass Curtis Axel dank des Gimmicks lautstark bejubelt worden ist. Dies k\u00f6nnte ein erster Hinweis darauf sein, dass eine R\u00fcckkehr von Hulk Hogan zur WWE schon bald bevorsteht. Dabei handelte es sich jedoch nicht um das offizielle Main Roster-Deb\u00fct von Liv Morgan, sondern lediglich um einen Test der WWE-Offiziellen, die sich ein genaueres Bild von der Weiterentwicklung von Liv Morgan machen wollten.
