April 2017 einer notwendigen Operation an seinem rechten Kn\u00f6chel unterzogen, nachdem er bereits schon vor einigen Wochen eine Kn\u00f6chelverletzung am rechten Fu\u00df erlitten hat, jedoch die notwendige Kn\u00f6chel-OP aufgrund von WrestleMania 33 auf die Woche nach dem gr\u00f6\u00dften Wrestlingspektakel des Jahres verschoben hat. Die Kn\u00f6chelverletzung von Kofi Kingston ist auch der Grund daf\u00fcr gewesen, warum er am Montag, den 03. April 2017 beim \u201eRAW after Mania\u201c von The Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) am rechten Kn\u00f6chel attackiert worden ist, nachdem beide zuvor Big E & Xavier Woods in einer Open Challenge besiegt hatten. Kofi Kingston suffers ankle injury, undergoes surgery<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Kofi Kingston sustained an injury to his right ankle during The Revival\u2019s post-match assault last Monday night on Raw, and WWE.com can confirm that the former Raw Tag Team Champion will be out of action for several weeks.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n \u201cDuring the attack by The Revival, Kofi injured his right ankle and heard a crack, and was unable to put weight on his leg following the attack,\u201d WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com. \u201cFurther evaluation and an MRI revealed that the attack had caused fragments of bone to break off the ankle bone (talus), requiring arthroscopic surgery to remove the bone chips from the damaged joint.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Kingston\u2019s injury leaves The New Day down a man just before the Raw and SmackDown LIVE locker rooms undergo a Superstar Shake-up.
