Wie WrestlingCorner.de bereits am vergangenen Wochenende berichtete, soll Dolph Ziggler aktuell bekanntlich mit dem Gedanken spielen, die WWE zu verlassen, wenn sein aktueller Vertrag in einigen Monaten (vermutlich im September 2015) ausl\u00e4uft, da er mit seiner derzeitigen Rolle in der WWE unzufrieden und frustriert ist.<\/p>\n
In einem Update im neuen Wrestling Observer Newsletter hei\u00dft es nun, dass aus dem Umfeld von Dolph Ziggler berichtet wird, dass Dolph Ziggler zumindest bereits \u00fcber Optionen au\u00dferhalb der WWE nachdenken soll. Weiter f\u00fchrt Dave Meltzer die Frustrationen von Dolph Ziggler darauf zur\u00fcck, dass er zu den Talenten bei WWE geh\u00f6rt, die beim Publikum zwar auf gro\u00dfe Resonanz sto\u00dfen, aber aus bestimmten Gr\u00fcnden nicht entsprechend gepusht werden. Laut Dave Meltzer w\u00e4re Dolph Ziggler genau die Art von Typ, die im Independent-Wrestling Bereich sehr gut ankommen w\u00fcrde.<\/p>\n
Eine Zukunft von Dolph Ziggler als Stand-Up Comedian nach seinem m\u00f6glichen WWE Abgang, gilt als so gut wie ausgeschlossen, da Dolph Ziggler Stand-Up Comedy sehr wahrscheinlich lediglich als eines seiner Hobbys betrachtet und er f\u00fcr seine bisherige Aktivit\u00e4ten als Stand-Up Comedian kein \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigendes Lob erhalten hat.<\/p>\n
Weiter wird berichtet, dass neben TNA Wrestling aktuell auch New Japan Pro Wrestling und Lucha Underground an einer Verpflichtung von Dolph Ziggler gro\u00dfes Interesse bekundet haben. Gespr\u00e4che zwischen Dolph Ziggler und den drei Ligen soll es jedoch noch nicht gegeben haben.<\/p>\n

\u201cRegarding any rumors going around about Ziggler, his contract and leaving, this is the situation. Ziggler\u2019s contract does expire in a few months and there are those close to him that have said he is at least considering what decision to make regarding his future that wouldn\u2019t include WWE. I\u2019ve got no idea what he\u2019s going to do, past the idea he has talked with people about his options away from the promotion. There are also things he\u2019s written on twitter that give the impression he\u2019s at least considering his options. He has been doing stand-up comedy of late, but nobody has raved about his work there, and that\u2019s likely to just be a hobby. There is interest in him from both New Japan and Lucha Underground, and you know that TNA would do anything to try and get him. At the same time, nobody knows what the situation is long-term with Lucha Underground and TNA right now. The New Japan\/ROH combination that the Young Bucks and A.J. Styles do, as well as doing other indies, maybe AAA big shows as well, and in particular, the U.K. shows, and he\u2019d do well.<\/p>\n He wouldn\u2019t make what he\u2019s currently earning in WWE, but if he could get a New Japan deal at the same level as Styles, he could probably do $350,000 to $400,000 per year outside of WWE, and that\u2019s also eliminating a lot of the road expenses since on the indie scene his trans and hotels would be paid for. He would also have time for an outside entertainment career such as acting and such.Even though he\u2019d work fewer dates, it could be harder on his body based on the fan demands of the high-level U.S. indies and New Japan, even though he always works hard. He\u2019ll have fewer limitations and hold-backs in the ring, but in doing so, it often wears the body out faster.<\/p>\n He\u2019s obviously going to be frustrated here because he\u2019s one of those guys who has always been more over with the audience than his push, and those kind of guys usually do well on the indies.
