In der aktuellen SmackDown! LIVE-Episode in Lincoln, Nebraska (06. September 2016) fanden bekanntlich die beiden Semi Final-Matches des SmackDown! Tag Team Championship Turniers statt. Im ersten Halbfinale konnten sich American Alpha (Jason Jordan & Chad Gable) erfolgreich gegen The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) durchsetzen, w\u00e4hrend Heath Slater & Rhyno das zweite Halbfinale gegen The Hype Bros (Mojo Rawley & Zack Ryder) gewinnen konnten. Nach dem ersten Halbfinale turnten The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) zum Heel und attackierten American Alpha (Jason Jordan & Chad Gable). W\u00e4hrend Jason Jordan lediglich mit einem Superkick abgefertigt worden ist, musste Chad Gable h\u00e4rteren Pr\u00fcgel einstecken und wurde von Jimmy & Jey Uso am linken Bein bzw. Knie verletzt.<\/p>\n

Bei „Talking Smack“ gab SmackDown! Commissioner Shane McMahon daraufhin bekannt, dass das SmackDown! Tag Team Championship Turnierfinale nicht wie geplant zwischen American Alpha (Jason Jordan & Chad Gable) und Heath Slater & Rhyno bei WWE Backlash 2016 stattfinden kann, da sich Chad Gable bei der Attacke von The Usos eine Innenband-Verletzung am linken Knie zugezogen hat und zwei bis vier Wochen verletzungsbedingt ausfallen wird. Anzumerken ist an dieser Stelle, dass es sich bei der Knieverletzung von Chad Gable um keine reale, sondern lediglich um eine Storyline-Verletzung handelt, um The Usos als Heels „over“ zu bringen.<\/p>\n

Anschlie\u00dfend k\u00fcndigte Shane McMahon an, dass deshalb bei WWE Backlash 2016 nun ein Second-Chance Semi Final Match zwischen The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) und The Hype Bros (Mojo Rawley & Zack Ryder) stattfinden wird, dessen Sieger den Final-Platz von American Alpha (Jason Jordan & Chad Gable) einnehmen und im sp\u00e4teren Verlauf des Abends bei WWE Backlash 2016 im SmackDown! Tag Team Championship Turnierfinale auf Heath Slater & Rhyno treffen wird.<\/p>\n
