WWE bringt WAR GAMES bei NXT TakeOver: Houston zurück

Bei den gestrigen „NXT TV Tapings“ in der Full Sail University kam es zum Tag Team Match zwischen SAnitY (Eric Young & Alexander Wolfe) und den Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar) kam es zu einem No Contest, nachdem The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) ins Match eingriffen. Roderick Strong kam ebenfalls zum Ring und deutete an, dass er der Undisputed Era beitreten könnte, doch attackierte schließlich Adam Cole.

Der wilde Brawl konnte erst durch William Regal wieder unter Kontrolle gebracht. Er kündigte für NXT „TakeOver: Houston“ ein Match zwischen allen drei Teams an (The Authors of Pain & Roderick Strong vs. The Undisputed Era vs. SAnitY) – und zwar in zwei Ringen, umfasst von einem großen Käfig! Damit bringt WWE die WAR GAMES erstmals seit dem Ende von World Championship Wrestling (2001) zurück!

NXT „TakeOver: Houston“ heißt ab sofort NXT „TakeOver: War Games“ und findet am 18.11.2017 im Toyota Center von Hoston, Texas statt. Am Tag darauf hält WWE im Toyota Center die 30. Ausgabe der „Survivor Series“ ab.

NXT TakeOver: WarGames is coming to Houston.

The next edition of NXT’s acclaimed series of WWE Network special events, TakeOver: WarGames, emanates from the Toyota Center in Houston on Saturday, Nov. 18, on the eve of the 30th annual Survivor Series.

Tickets for TakeOver: WarGames go on sale Friday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT, exclusively at www.NXTtickets.com.

The WarGames name was made famous in sports-entertainment as one of the premier match types in the NWA and, later, WCW. Nicknamed „The Match Beyond,“ WarGames was a battle between teams that was fought in two rings enclosed by a steel cage. The first WarGames was held during the NWA’s 1987 Great American Bash tour.

The NXT Universe already knows that at least one new champion will be crowned on Nov. 18, as Kairi Sane, the winner of the inaugural Mae Young Classic, will compete in a Fatal 4-Way Match for the vacant NXT Women’s Title. Though Sane’s opponents will be revealed in the weeks ahead, the battle to decide the new NXT Women’s Champion guarantees history will be made inside the Toyota Center.
