Wie der Marktführer heute in einer Pressemitteilung bekannt gab, wird WWE ihren ersten Stadionevent nach 30 Jahren im Vereinigten Königreich am 03.09.2022 abhalten. Genauer gesagt geht es in das Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Für den Ticket-Vorverkauf können die Fans sich registrieren (s.u.). Der Name des Events, sowie weitere Informationen zum Ticket-VVK sind noch nicht bekannt.
Das letzte große WWE-Ereignis in einem Stadion im Vereinigten Königreich war der „SummerSlam 1992“ im Wembley Stadion in London, England. Im Main Event besiegte damals der British Bulldog den Intercontinental Champion Bret „The Hitman“ Hart.

STAMFORD, Conn., April 12, 2022 – WWE today announced that the first major WWE stadium event to be held in the United Kingdom in more than 30 years will emanate from Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on Saturday, September 3, 2022.
Located in the heart of Cardiff, the capital of Wales – a cultural and sports destination with a world class record in hosting events – the Principality Stadium is a state-of-the-art, multi-faceted event destination and home to the Wales national rugby union team.
