Fans will have the opportunity to choose who will face the Kingdom, or whoever the champions will be, for the ROH World Six Man titles in the main event! For the first time in ROH history, fan voting for those live in Columbus will determine who will compete for the titles. The first match signed for The Experience is a first-time dream match nearly eight months in the making.

“THE AMERICAN NIGHTMARE” CODY vs. DALTON CASTLE

Before Final Battle, before Bullet Club, and before WrestleKingdom, “The American Nightmare” Cody was the hottest free agent in pro wrestling. Cody proved in less than 140 characters the old axiom true - a picture is worth 1,000 words. This list, a list speculated to be one of potential opponents and partners, was worth more.

Near the top of the list was Dalton Castle.

A dream match in its own right, Cody and Castle’s bout at The Experience has elevated significance: Cody has recently teamed with ROH World Champion Adam Cole in a bout against Bobby Fish and Jay Lethal that will air on Ring of Honor Television. With Castle scheduled to face the ROH World Champion at Supercard of Honor XI, Cody now stands as a potential barrier that can soften Castle for his Bullet Club mate ROH World Champion Cole ahead of their bout.

“The Villain” made an immediate impact in Ring of Honor, capturing the ROH World Television Championship in his first weekend in the company from Will Ospreay on the Reach for the Sky Tour. In terms of immediate impact, Scurll may have had the biggest, fastest impact in ROH history.

The same can be said about Donovan Dijak.

In 2015, Dijak steamrolled through the ROH Top Prospect Tournament and exuded his dominance alongside then-World Champion Jay Lethal in the House of Truth. Dijak quickly became one of the most formidable singles stars in the world, picking up major victories at a rapid pace.

Following a successful defense of the ROH World Television Championship over Juice Robinson at Center Stage in Atlanta, Scurll claimed he had defeated all ROH had to offer. The Motor City Machine Guns, Lio Rush, Johnathan Gresham, Jay White, and Donovan Dijak all stepped up to the challenge. The six were given a bout to air on ROH television to determine the number one contender and Dijak emerged victorious.

Dijak heads to Pittsburgh with an opportunity to capture his first-ever ROH championship but standing across the ring will be a finger-snapping, chicken-winger that has systematically defeated every international star ROH has put in front of him. As dominant as the Kingdom has been, the Rebellion have been equally as ruthless. Tired of being overlooked by the ROH Executive Board, Caprice Coleman, Kenny King, and Rhett Titus have been on a mission to capture a championship seemingly tailor-made for this trio. After defeating Dalton Castle and the Boys in Atlanta in a match to air on Ring of Honor Television, the ROH Board of Directors have decided to issue the Rebellion a shot at the ROH World Six Man Tag Team Championship!

With a stacked schedule in front of them, The Kingdom must make it to Pittsburgh with the championships in tact! Just a week before, the champions defend against War Machine and Jax Dayne in San Antonio at Undisputed Legacy and then the winner heads to Dallas the following night to face the Motor City Machine Guns and Jay White at Honor Reigns Supreme. While the brash young trio led by Taven has been undefeated, the road to 15th Anniversary doesn’t get any easier!

Appearing via satellite at Final Battle, Matt Hardy declared that the Hardys have been “mandated to prove they are the greatest tag team in all of time and all of space”, issuing an official challenge to “the Bucks of Youth”. In their mission to render the Bucks obsolete, the Hardys have promised to DELETE the Young Bucks!

After a recent appearance by Vanguard-1 on Ring of Honor television, the ROH World Tag Team Champions the Young Bucks have officially signed to face the Hardys at the BIGGEST Supercard of Honor ever! The first match signed for The Experience is an ROH World Tag Team Title Match pitting champions The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) against War Machine (Hanson and Ray Rowe).

The Young Bucks have turned back all challengers in ROH since winning the title at All Star Extravaganza VIII in September from The Addiction (Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian) in the much-talked-about three-way Ladder War that also involved The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley).

Former ROH World Tag Team Champions War Machine have yet to get their shot The Bucks, however. War Machine, who won the ROH World Tag Team Title in December 2015 and successfully defended it for nearly five months, haven’t had an ROH World Tag Team Title shot since competing in a gauntlet match in August.

Hanson and Rowe had a strong showing in the World Tag League tournament in Japan recently, and the two powerhouses believe they are at the top of their game. With War Machine’s distinct size advantage and hard-hitting style, it certainly appears that they present a matchup problem for the Bucks.

The high-flying and controversial Bucks can never be underestimated, though, regardless of their opponents’ size and strength advantages. They staked their claim as the best tag team in ROH history by defeating eight-time former ROH World Tag Team Champions The Briscoes (Jay and Mark) at Final Battle last month.

As the Bucks celebrated their victory in the ring, however, Broken Matt Hardy appeared on the video screen and issued a challenge to “The Bucks of Youth.” The Bucks have responded by saying that they will fight Matt and “Brother Nero” Jeff Hardy anytime, anywhere.

Will the Bucks have the Broken Hardys on their minds when they put their titles on the line against War Machine in Columbus? Will War Machine make good in their vow that “2017 is sure to be total and complete ‘War Machine World Domination?”

The Briscoes are the most decorated tag team in the history of Ring of Honor. Eight-time tag team champions, Jay and Mark have proved their dominance Since Day One, taking on the best the world has to offer. They are in for a first-time challenge in Columbus!

Sho and Yo are two former New Japan Young Lions who made their name in Japan and Mexico and are now on excursion in the US. At the recent international television taping in Atlanta, the Tempura Boyz picked up their biggest win, yet: a triple-threat victory over Coast 2 Coast and Cheeseburger & Will Ferrara, earning themselves a ROH World Tag Team title shot, also to be seen on ROH television. With the wind at their backs, they have issued a challenge to the greatest team in ROH history!

Just one week before, the Briscoes will face ROH World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks at Gilley’s Dallas in a 2-out-of-3 falls match with the titles on the line. Just signed for The Experience is an exciting six-man tag match pitting Jay White and The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) against The Rebellion (Caprice Coleman, Kenny King and Rhett Titus).

Since transforming from The Cabinet into The Rebellion during the latter part of 2016, King, Titus and Coleman have displayed a newfound aggressiveness. They immediately made a statement by sneak-attacking and laying out the Machine Guns and Donovan Dijak and then defeating the three fan favorites in a six-man tag match at Final Battle.

The militant trio also has targeted White, a rising young star whom The Rebellion feels has been given opportunities in ROH while they were overlooked.

White is undefeated in singles competition since coming to ROH from New Japan Pro-Wrestling in June and has victories over the likes of Christopher Daniels and Dijak. He also took two-time former ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe to a time-limit draw.

His partners in Columbus -- Sabin and Shelley -- are one of the most successful tag teams in the sport over the past decade. The two veterans have recently taken White, Dijak and Lio Rush under their wing, making for an alliance with an impressive combination of talent, youth and experience.

The Best Wrestling on the Planet returns to Pittsburgh for Steel City Excellence on Saturday, Feb. 11. The international TV taping will feature all of the top stars in ROH as well as the start of the 2017 Top Prospect Tournament!

Just signed for Steel City Excellence is a no-disqualification tag team match pitting “Punishment” Damien Martinez and BJ Whitmer against War Machine (Hanson and Ray Rowe).

The two previous matches between these hard-hitting teams have been extremely violent, so one can only imagine what lengths they will go to in a match in which anything goes.

The first encounter, which aired on a recent episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling,” ended in a double-disqualification. After the referee called for the bell, Martinez choke-slammed Rowe through two side-by-side tables.

Whitmer’s conduct earned him a 30-day suspension, costing him opportunities on the Survival of the Fittest and Reach for the Sky Tours, while the punishment inflicted on War Machine left a lasting impact on Hanson and Rowe as they went into their first World Tag League Tournament in Japan.

In the rematch at the TV tapings in Atlanta on Jan. 14, Whitmer and Martinez again battled War Machine to a no-contest. This time, the brawl continued in the locker room later that night.

From Binghamton, NY, "Hybrid" Sean Carr is an athlete who had his first taste of Ring of Honor action as a surprise local entrant to the Honor Rumble. Carr impressed ROH officials at a tryout camp and the new Executive Board extended an invitation to this Upstate New York star based on his debut performance in Lockport.

“I fell in love with professional wrestling at a very young age and, from the moment I first saw it on TV, I knew that's what I wanted to do,” Carr told ROHWrestling.com. Carr comes into the 2017 Top Prospect Tournament with a background in the martial arts and the support of his family. “Growing up, my parents Kevin Carr and Rita Carr were my biggest supporters and they enrolled me in martial arts because, they felt it would help me out with my dream when it came time. I'm a 2nd Degree Black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and I have experience in Ju Jitsu, Kickboxing, and also did some amateur wrestling in High School.”

A chance meeting in early 2009 with Keith Zimmer led Carr to begin training with IB Green and Kage in a building with no heat or air conditioning. “It was super cold in the winter and a sweat box in the summer,” recalled Carr.

Carr is an eight-year veteran who has competed primarily in the Northeast, picking up victories with the Tombstone Piledriver and Frog Splash. He has used his martial arts background and those moves to achieve his dream of becoming a pro wrestler. But Carr told ROHWrestling.com that he has some extra motivation in taking the next step – becoming a star in ROH.

“With all the years I've been wrestling, I could never have continued this journey without the love and support from my fiancé Amber and our Daughter Mikylia. I do this for them.” While Carr stresses he leads a normal life outside the ring, watching movies and hiking with his family and dogs Izzy and Max, his record speaks for itself. Carr will certainly be one of the odds-on favorites to win the 2017 Top Prospect Tournament and earn a ROH contract!

Carr is the first name to be announced for the 2017 ROH Top Prospect Tournament. The tournament will begin at our international television taping, Steel City Excellence!

A protégé of ROH legend Steve Corino and CW Anderson, Skyler used wrestling as an escape. Wrestlers like Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Curt Hennig, and Terry Funk inspired Skyler to make a name for himself. A stand-out soccer player in high school, Skyler turned down soccer scholarships to chase his professional wrestling dream.

Christopher Daniels has been a cornerstone of ROH since the company’s inception in 2002, but the ROH World Championship -- pro wrestling’s holy grail -- has eluded “The Fallen Angel.”

In what very well could be Daniels’ final shot, the 24-year veteran will challenge for the ROH World Title currently held by Adam Cole at the 15th Anniversary pay-per-view on Friday, March 10 at Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas.

Daniels, 46, earned the title match by winning the Decade of Excellence tournament, which was composed of eight competitors who debuted in ROH more than a decade ago.

After defeating Mark Briscoe and Chris Sabin in the same night last month in the first round and semifinals, respectively, Daniels beat two-time former ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe in the finals this past Saturday in Atlanta.

That match, which will air on an upcoming episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling,” was an instant classic, and the result was somewhat of a surprise, as the number of pinfall losses Briscoe has suffered over the past four years can be counted on one hand.

Regarded as one of the “Founding Fathers” in ROH, Daniels competed in the main event of ROH’s first show against Bryan Danielson and Low Ki in a Triple Threat Match. Since making his pro debut in 1993, Daniels has won championships all over the world, including the ROH World Tag Team Title on four occasions and the ROH World Television Title.

He has come close to winning the ROH World Title on several occasions, including taking CM Punk to a 60-minute draw in 2005. However, Daniels has not had a world title match since April 1, 2011, when he lost to Eddie Edwards at Supercard of Honor in Atlanta.

Daniels left ROH shortly thereafter before returning in 2014. During his current run, Daniels’ focus has been on The Addiction, his tag team with longtime friend and partner Frankie Kazarian.

“I put the idea of being world champion aside for a while in concentrating on the tag team with Frankie,” Daniels said recently in an exclusive interview with ROHWrestling,com, “I do have that pang of regrets sometimes. I feel like I’m being a little selfish, but at the same time, we’re all a little selfish when it comes to being world champion. I’m sure Frankie would feel the same way.”

The Addiction won the ROH World Tag Team Title from reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly) in April 2015 and successfully defended it for five months. Daniels and Kazarian regained the championship by defeating War Machine (Hanson and Ray Rowe) last May.

At All-Star Extravaganza VII on September 30, The Addiction lost the title to The Young Bucks in a three-way Ladder War that also involved The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley). The insane contest was voted Match of the Year by Honor Nation, and despite coming up short, Daniels and Kazarian put on such a gutsy performance that earned it them a standing ovation from the crowd in Lowell, Mass.

“I felt a little bit of shame knowing that I had all these plans and all these strategies -- the things that I pride myself on in terms of being the ring general -- and all those plans and ideas that I had backfired on me,” Daniels said of the match. “It took its toll on me and made me question a lot of the things I’d been doing. ... It took me a while to get my confidence back.”

After winning the Decade of Excellence tournament, however, Daniels’ confidence is at an all-time high, as his victory over Jay Briscoe showed that he is at the top of his game. Whether it’s Adam Cole standing across the ring from Daniels on March 10 or someone else, the champion will undoubtedly be in for an extremely tough night against a determined challenger who knows he may not get another opportunity at this stage of his career.

“I certainly feel some of the matches a lot more than I did even three years ago,” Daniels said, ‘but at the same time, I know I’m one win away from being champion. … I feel like I’ve done enough in my career where people will respect my contributions, so I don’t know if I need the world championship, but I certainly do want it.”

KELLY KLEIN vs. SCARLETT BORDEAUX

For well over one year, Kelly Klein has remained undefeated in Women of Honor competition. “The Gatekeeper” has made her opponents tap with the guillotine choke she has labeled The End of the Match.

At Global Wars, Kelly used The End of the Match to defeat Crazy Mary Dobson in emphatic fashion. But what happened after the match may have been even more memorable: Klein’s then-manager B.J. Whitmer got in the face of ring announcer Scarlett Bourdeaux and made her announce Kelly as the most dominant wrestler in the world. Since then, confrontations took place wherever Kelly was signed to compete, including a very public display in Collinsville.

Then, Kelly put her hands on Scarlett following the main event of the first-ever Women of Honor live event. If it weren’t for Sumie Sakai saving Scarlett, the damage could have ended Scarlett’s time in Women of Honor.

Scarlett had not been seen in Women of Honor from July until December when she returned as the ring announcer for a bout between Sumie and Deonna Purrazzo. With injuries healed and fear behind her, Scarlett issued a challenge to Kelly.

Some have called it brave and a display of courage. Others called it a watershed moment in letting Scarlett’s emotions overtake her safety.

Scarlett has never officially competed in a Women of Honor bout since the brand’s revival but she has set a date for her debut because the challenge has been answered. On Sunday, February 12, after months of bullying and healing from Kelly’s devastating attack, Scarlett will jump in the deep end and go toe to toe with Kelly in Columbus!

ROHWrestling.com has learned that Scarlett has been training in preparation – meanwhile, it may be telling that Kelly took nearly a month to sign the contract, dismissing Scarlett as any sort of threat as Kelly moves closer by the day to reaching 500 consecutive days undefeated. It is Kelly versus Scarlett at The Experience!

Chris LeRusso enters the Top Prospect Tournament as one of its most arrogant competitors and one of its most dangerous. The self-proclaimed “Heir Apparent”, LeRusso considers himself the rightful “Heir” to the title of the greatest wrestler of all-time. He sees himself as coming from the same mold as Danielson, Punk, McGuinness, Richards, and other great champions.

A 10-plus year veteran, LeRusso was trained by central Pennsylvania wrestling mainstay Ken Downs, and has supplemented his training in recent years with regular visits to ROH dojo and training camps. He has expanded his skill set by training at Mark Cherico Martial Arts Academy, an academy that lists UFC Heavyweight Adam Milstead and current UFC Bantamweight Champion Cody “No Love” Garbrandt as alumni. This training has given LeRusso significant striking power, especially with his kicks and knees.

Beyond his in ring skills, the most dangerous thing about LeRusso might be his mind. He is a licensed corporate attorney who has shown himself to be keenly intelligent and increasingly manipulative. LeRusso often studies his opponents closely, finding ways into their heads. The resulting mind games often throws them off their game so drastically that opponents make fatal mistakes.

LeRusso has attempted to jump the line to get to the top of ROH in the past, attempting to join both the Decade and House of Truth with no luck. The ROH Executive Board has agreed to give LeRusso another opportunity in ROH but they are making him officially earn his opportunities by winning the TPT. LeRusso has officially entered the Top Prospect Tournament and has a chance to change his fortunes overnight. The path begins in LeRusso’s hometown of Pittsburgh and, if LeRusso has anything to say about it, the road will lead to his throne.

Standing 6’2”, weighing at 274 lbs, “The Pain Train” Preston Quinn is a menacing, determined individual. A lifelong athlete that excelled at every major sport, from linebacker in football and center in basketball to pitcher in baseball, “PQ” always had a competitive fire burning bright inside him. That fire burned hottest and brightest when he watched Professional Wrestling on Saturdays. The Gloucester, VA native has been on an absolute tear through the Mid-Atlantic Region since refocusing a few years ago. For the first time in his career, the 40-year-old Quinn has an opportunity to display his talents in front of an international audience. The eyes of the wrestling world will be on the Lakeland Center on Saturday, April 1 as stars from around the globe converge in Central Florida for SUPERCARD OF HONOR XI. Top competitors from Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro-Wrestling and CMLL will do battle in the biggest night of hard-hitting, fast-paced, in-your-face action in Ring of Honor history!

The ROH Executive Committee has already announced two big matches and first-time appearances from New Japan and CMLL stars, and now is excited to announce that CMLL luchadoras La Amapola and Marcela will compete in a Women of Honor showcase at Supercard of Honor!

La Amapola and Marcela are two of the greatest female competitors ever in CMLL. La Amapola holds the record for longest CMLL World Women’s Championship reign, as she held the title for nearly four years between 2007 and 2011 before being defeated by Marcela.

Marcela has held the championship more times (four) and longer (1,639 days) than anyone. Having first won the title in 2005, her most recent reign ended last March after 336 days as champion.

La Amapola, a veteran of nearly 20 years, is not shy about bending the rules. She engaged in a long rivalry with the popular Dark Angel that began in 2005 and sparked renewed interest in CMLL’s women’s division.

Marcela, began her career in 1985 at just 14 years old. One of the most popular female stars in CMLL, she also has wrestled in Japan.

The inclusion of La Amapola and Marcela on Supercard of Honor continues the relationship between ROH and CMLL. It was previously announced that CMLL star Volador Jr. would appear on the card.
