Tough Enough - Staffel 5 (Episode 10 ausgestrahlt: Sieger steht fest)

Wie der Wrestling Observer Newsletter berichtet, sollen bereits sieben der insgesamt 14 Kandidaten der neuen Staffel von WWE Tough Enough offiziell bekannt sein. Die Namen lauten wie folgt:

- Matt Cross: Der 30jährige Wrestler, besser bekannt als M-Dogg20, war schon für viele Independent-Promotions wie z.B. Ring Of Honor tätig. Auch hier in Deutschland konnte man ihn bereits mehrfach bei German Stampede Wrestling (GSW) sehen. Matt Cross feierte sein Debüt im Jahr 2001 und bestritt im Jahr 2010 bei einer WWE Superstars Episode zusammen mit einem Partner ein Tag Team Match gegen The Gatecrashers (Vance Archer & Curt Hawkins).

- Christina Crawford: Sie ist die Schwester von WWE Diva Alicia Fox und zugleich eine ehemalige FCW Diva, bekannt als Caylee Turner.

- Bobby Robinson: Er ist in der Independent-Szene als "Golden Boy" bekannt und verkündete bereits im Teaser von WWE Tough Enough, dass er über Leichen gehen werde, um Tough Enough zu gewinnen.

- Rima Fakih: Amtierende Miss USA und großer WWE Fan. Die 25-jährige leitete bereits eine Episode von RAW als Guest Host.

- "Big Nasty" Jason Watts: Er ist ein 22-jähriger Independent-Wrestler aus Kalifornien, der sein Debüt im Jahr 2005 feierte. Er ist ein Powerhouse, das 1,98 m groß ist und 115 kg wiegt.

- Juliet The Huntress: Die 22-jährige begann ihre Wrestlingkarriere im Jahr 2005 in Puerto Rico bei World Wrestling Council (WWC). Anschließend wechselte sich zur International Wrestling Association (IWA), die vom ehemaligen WWE Superstar Savio Vega geleitet wird. Im Jahr 2008 kehrte sie in die USA zurück und trat in der Nähe von Chicago in diversen Independent-Promotions an.

- Ryan Howe: Er ist als "The Rock'N Rebel" Diamond Steel in der Independent-Sezene bekannt. Wahrscheinlich ist er der blonde Typ im Tough Enough Teaser, zu dem Steve Austin sagt, dass er seine Frisur nicht mag.

Wie Tampa Bay Online berichtet, sind nun noch zwei weitere Kandidaten der neuen Staffel von WWE Tough Enough bekannt:

- Andy Levine: Der 23-jährige trat bereits mehrfach in der Independent-Szene auf und war bei Florida International University und bei den Miami Dolphins tätig.

- Mickael Zaki: Der 26-jährige Independent-Wrestler stammt aus New Jersey und besitzt sowohl den schwarzen Gürtel in Tae Kwon Do als auch eine zweijährige Wrestlingerfahrung.

- Der ehemalige MMA Fighter Jeremiah Riggs, bekannt aus VH1's Daist Of Love, wurde nun als weiterer Kandidat der neuen Staffel von WWE Tough Enough enthüllt.

- Bret "Hitman" Hart, WWE Champion The Miz, Randy Orton, John Morrison und Rey Mysterio sollen einige der WWE Superstars sein, die die Teilnehmer der neuen Staffel von WWE Tough Enough besuchen und sie bei ihrem Training unterstützen werden. Ebenso sollen auch einige WWE Divas einen Auftritt absolvieren, der bekanntlich bereits abgefilmt worden ist.

Ariane Andrew- The 23-year-old Ariane is the quintessential Valley Girl. What Ariane lacks in wrestling experience she makes up for with bubbly charm. Ariane hopes to become a WWE diva so she can display her alter-ego, a hard-edged girl that doesn't give a crap.

Martin Casaus- Martin, 26, is a stockbroker and independent wrestler hailing from West Jordan, Utah. He gained his experience wresting for six and a half years on the independent circuit. He is also co-owner of Ultra Championship Wrestling Zero, a promotion and wrestling school.

Matt Capiccioni- Matt, 30, is an independent wrestler with nine years of independent circuit experience from Brecksville, Ohio. He has wrestled in sixteen countries and hopes to win "WWE Tough Enough" and a WWE contract so he "can have a fun job." "You can see the world in spandex and smash things," he explains.

Christina Crawford- Christina, 22, is a senior at the University of Central Florida studying Interpersonal Communications. She is a member of her college dance team. (This is Alicia Fox's sister. They do not mention this but say she wrestles on the independents.)

Michelle Deighton- This 25-year-old day care teacher from Terre Haute, Indiana, hopes to become a WWE Diva to fulfill a dream she has had since the age of 14. She loves the road lifestyle, living out of a suitcase and traveling. She has trained on and off in independent wrestling over the past 11 years. (They do acknowledge her Next Top Model past and marriage to Jonny Fairplay.)

Rima Fakih- Rima is Miss USA 2010. The 25-year-old hails from Dearborn, Michigan where she received a BA in Economics and BA in Business Management from University of Michigan. Rima hopes to win "WWE Tough Enough" to prove that it is possible to be both beautiful and tough.

Ryan Howe- This 23-year-old aspiring musician and independent wrestler hails from Hebron, Indiana. He has two years of wrestling experience and hopes to win "WWE Tough Enough" and a WWE contract to make everyone who ever believed in him proud, especially his family, his trainer, Tracy Smothers, and his girlfriend, Tiffany. (Not the former Diva)

A.J. Kirsch- A.J., 27, has been wrestling on the independent circuit for five years. Among his achievements is a one and a half year undefeated All Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championship in addition to a tag team victory over the infamous New Age Outlaws.

Andy Leavine- This 6'5" giant hails from Brooksville, Florida where he had four years of high school varsity wrestling experience with a record of over 90 wins. The 23-year-old former football player has a mere six months of independent wrestling experience. Starting over 40 games as an offensive lineman for Florida International University, Andy holds the school's power clean record of 365 lbs. After FIU, he was a priority free agent with the Miami Dolphins and attended mini-camps, before hanging up his cleats to pursue his dream to entertain in the ring.

Jeremiah Riggs- This 28-year-old truck driver from Vicksburg, Mississippi is a natural athlete who prides himself on taking on new challenges. He was a US Army Ranger with the 1st Battalion and did a tour in Afghanistan in 2004. He has six years of training as an MMA Fighter with a record of seven wins and five losses, fighting with UFC, Strikeforce and Bellator. He is trying to become the first legitimate MMA fighter to crossover into WWE.

Mickael Zacki- Mickael, 26, is an unemployed WWE hopeful hailing from Jersey City, NJ. He has lived the 9 to 5 lifestyle and hated every second of it. For him, being a WWE Superstar would allow him to escape this fate.

Luke Robinson- Luke, 26, is a Personal Trainer from Auburn, Maine with five years of independent circuit experience. For him, WWE combines all his passions rolled into one: performing, marketing, athleticism and traveling. Luke proved his athleticism as captain of his high school's varsity soccer, hockey and baseball teams, competing all four years, before moving on to getting his BA in Business Administration from University of Southern Maine.

Ivelisse Velez- An assistant pet groomer in Chicago, Illinois, the 22-year-old has spent the last six years on the independent circuit and is well known in her native Puerto Rico. (Also known as The Huntress)

Eric Watts- Eric, 25, hopes to become a WWE Superstar to fulfill his childhood dream. "WWE needs my afro and my tall, dark and handsome good looks," says the 6'5" behemoth. Eric hails from Pasadena, California where he spent two years on his High School varsity football team as left tackle, earning All-League Honors. Eric was recruited by colleges for football, but opted not to attend so he could pursue his dream.

Wie f4wonline berichtet, soll Miss USA Rima Fakih möglicherweise bereits aus WWE Tough Enough ausgeschieden sein, da sie seit dieser Woche wieder via Twitter zu erreichen ist. Dort verkündete sie, dass sie ihre Aufnahmen zu WWE Tough Enough beendet hat.

Da die beiden Trainer Trish Stratus und Bill DeMott via Twitter verkündeten, dass die Aufnahmen zu WWE Tough Enough noch nicht abgeschlossen sind, ist davon auszugehen, dass Rima Fakih vorzeitig ausgeschieden ist.

- Laut Berichten vom WWE Tough Enough Set soll Luke Robinson aktuell als haushoher Favorit auf den Sieg von WWE Tough Enough gelten. Er zeichnet sich als Star aus und wird als guter Wrestler beschrieben, welcher sehr großes Charisma besitzt. Der Moderator der Show, Steve Austin, soll so dermaßen begeistert von Luke Robinson gewesen sein, dass er sogar privat mit ihm zusammen trainiert und gearbeitet hat. Luke Robinson ist ein 26-jähriger Independent-Wrestler aus Maine, der bislang unter dem Namen "Golden Boy" Bobby Robinson in den Independent-Promotions aktiv gewesen ist. Bereits im Vorfeld der Show soll Luke Robinson angekündigt haben, dass er über Leichen gehen werde, um Tough Enough zu gewinnen, da er die Show als Sprungbrett für eine große Wrestlingkarriere sieht.

- Das WWE / FCW Entwicklungstalent Su Yung aka Sonia soll in die engere Auswahl von WWE Tough Enough gekommen sein, es letztendlich jedoch nicht in den Hauptcast der Show geschafft haben. Die in Seattle beheimatete Independent-Wrestlerin hat im letzten Jahr einen Entwicklungsvertrag bei World Wrestling Entertainment unterzeichnet und ist aktuell auf der offiziellen Website von Florida Championship Wrestling als Diva gelistet. Als Randnotiz sei vermerkt, dass die 21-jährige Su Yung aktuell eine Liebesbeziehung mit dem 62-jährigen Jerry "The King" Lawler führt.

World Wrestling Entertainment veröffentlichte nun in einer offiziellen Pressemitteilung, dass The Rock bei einer Episode der neuen Staffel von WWE Tough Enough auftreten wird:

‘THE ROCK’ TO GUEST ON “WWE TOUGH ENOUGH,” A NEW REALITY SERIES ON USA

Hollywood star and former multi-time WWE Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will guest on a future episode of WWE TOUGH ENOUGH, the new reality competition series premiering on USA on MONDAY, APRIL 4 at 11/10c.

In the episode, Johnson puts the contestants in full workout mode, pushing their limits and testing their boundaries. The Rock excites and electrifies as he demonstrates what it takes for a superstar to successfully “layeth the smacketh down” in the ring. One of the most entertaining WWE Superstars of all time and known to fans worldwide as “The People’s Champion,” the Rock recently announced that he’s returning to WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW and briefly trained with the TOUGH ENOUGH contestants for his pending return.

WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is the host of WWE TOUGH ENOUGH, which will feature a diverse group of men and women who live, train, eat and sleep under one roof in a spectacular ranch in Simi Valley, California. Each week the contestants will battle it out in a series of unique challenges designed to test for such characteristics as showmanship, creativity, athleticism and desire, just to name a few. Viewers will witness the trials and tribulations of what it takes to be one of the best in the world’s greatest sports entertainment organization. The grand prizewinner will be awarded a contract with WWE.

Shed Media US, noted for its strong characters and memorable casting in the non-scripted arena, produces WWE TOUGH ENOUGH. The company’s previous reality credits include “The Real Housewives of New York City,” “Who Do You Think You Are,” “World’s Strictest Parents.”

After the premiere of WWE TOUGH ENOUGH on April 4, the show will move to its regular timeslot on Mondays at 8/7c on April 11.

Wie WrestlingCorner bereits berichtete, sind die Dreharbeiten der neuen Staffel von WWE Tough Enough bereits abgeschlossen. Nun scheint es so, als wäre bislang noch kein Sieger ermittelt worden, denn sowohl Trish Stratus als auch Bill DeMott haben via Twitter verkündet, dass die Dreharbeiten abgschlossen worden sind und man die "Top 2" gefunden habe.
