ZitatAlles anzeigenTNA Hall of Famer Sting recently spoke to MuscleandFitness about new DVD with Brian Bosworth, "Revelation Road." Here are some highlights of what he said about:
Becoming "Born Again" In 1998: "In August of 1998 my life was turned upside down. I gave my life to Jesus Christ who became my Lord and Savior, right at the peak of my career where I had all the money and power and fame you could ever want. It’s just like in this movie. God kept trying to reach me, to open my eyes. And I was like, “Don’t talk to me about Jesus. My life is fine.” But in August of 1998, I had a moment of truth with a confession I made to my wife. There was drugs, alcohol, adultery, the whole package, and I wound up coming clean and confessing it all."
At 54, How Long He Continues To Wrestle: "I’ve learned not to give a time. I can’t go on wrestling much longer. I’m taking it, literally, one month at a time. I’m under contract until January of next year, so we’ll see what’s happening. I do want to do more movies. I’m looking at a few different things, reality shows being one of them. I’m just trying to move onto the next season of my life. As far as wrestling goes, I’ve stayed away from the creative part of it all these years, I just don’t want to sit in on the meetings and babysit wrestlers and personalities and all that. But, there are things I’d like to see happen in pro wrestling and I may try to make it materialize. I don’t know."
His Past Use of Steroids: "Thankfully, I got smart somehow or another in 1990 and stopped taking steroids – totally stopped. A lot of the guys I ran with all those years continued to take steroids year after year – those guys are having their knees and their hips replaced. I’m not saying everybody who gets their knees and their hips replaced took steroids. I just noticed that the guys who did that were too big, too bulky, too heavy, and the body couldn’t handle it and it took its toll. So that was my one saving grace, but I would train differently now. I’m actually doing pretty good for a guy my age – I just turned 54 – and I’m still hanging in there. I can move a little bit in the ring. I can’t do half of what I used to be able to do, but I get around."

TMZ reports that Hulk Hogan told them at LaGuardia airport that a movie about his life is officially in the works and he already has someone in mind to play the lead role - his son Nick.

"It's being worked on right now, brotha."

Jetzt gerade erst das Interview vom Stinger gelesen. Der letzte Satz auf die Frage "At 54, How Long He Continues To Wrestle?".. heitzt natürlich wieder die spekulationen an was er damit meinen könnte.

King Mo spoke with Stephanie Joplin Sports about a few TNA related topics. Below are the highlights:
We know you’re signed with TNA. When can we expect to see you get in the ring?
"Well, I’m hoping this year. I’ve been doing this pro-wrestling school in Ohio Valley and people don’t understand how hard pro-wrestling and pro-wrestling school is. One practice would be anywhere between three to five hours getting slammed with hitting the ropes or something like that. The typical guy that’s a pro-wrestler in TNA or the WWE will spend six to ten years at the pro-wrestling school before you make it big. I’m on the accelerated route. I’m in wrestling matches for OVW and I’ll go back and wrestle more matches within the next few weeks."Do TNA obligations ever interfere with MMA obligations or training?
"Nah, not right now. TNA knows that MMA comes first and they allow me to let that come first. In between camps, and here and there during camp, I’ll go to pro-wrestling school to do a few matches here and there."In the past, you’ve expressed interest in teaming up with Rampage. Has there been any talk of you joining the Main Event Mafia?
"What! Nah, I’m going to do my whole thing. Maybe I’ll tag team partner with Rampage eventually, but I’ll do my own thing."Do you think you will continue with both sports or eventually choose one over the other?
"My goal is when I’m done fighting to keep on doing pro-wrestling and having fun. After a while, I’d probably pick that." -

TNA Impact Wrestling star Hulk Hogan recently sat down for a Q&A with the Cape Breton Post, to discuss a number of topics, including the rumored movie on his life and his thoughts on a possible return to the ring. Below are highlights from the discussion:
Is There Really A Hulk Hogan Movie In The Works?
"It’s not really true. It’s a TMZ headline.... What happened was, I was going through LaGuardia Airport ... this guy asked me a bunch of dumb questions for TMZ and he goes, ’Eh, when are they going to do a bio about your life?’ And I said, ’It’s already in development.’ So now everybody’s rambling like it’s a feature film already. But the truth is ... two kids that are writers in L.A., hot young writers, they did a four-page treatment and I’m telling you they nailed it — they nailed it like they were living in my shoes — and I gave them the green light to go ahead and write the first pass. But that’s all it is."
Hulk Hogan Telling TMZ That Nick Hogan Should Play Him In The Movie
"I said he’d be perfect for it but I think we need a serious, serious actor that knows what he’s doing. You know who I thought would be good? That guy that did that action movie, ’Thor’ (Chris Hemsworth)."
How He Feels About Turning 60 Years Old:
HH: Pretty good, because I’m eternally youthful and I’m 60 years young. I’ll take my shirt off in front of any 25 year old and I guarantee I’m built better than they are.
If He Would Wrestle Again:
"I would love to be in the main event and running around the ring going crazy, but the truth is, I don’t want to break anything else. And I had my day, I had my time, I made a pretty good statement, and I think that just being able to be around it — working with Impact Wrestling, I’m still on TV every Thursday night, from 9 to 11 on Spike TV — I just get to live vicariously through the young guys."
Previously Having Heat With Bret Hart:
HH: No, that’s all on his end. I love Bret. Whatever he did, I forgive him, whatever I did, I forgive myself. I just can’t keep that negative stuff in my spiritual structure. I’ve just basically got nothing but love for Bret Hart. He’s a great guy.

In an interview with V2 Wrestling, Nigel McGuinness (aka Desmond Wolfe) spoke highly of Magnus' recent success in TNA.
"I’m really happy for him; he’s earned everything he’s got. I think I read that he just re-signed or something like that. One of the biggest disappointments in my career was not being able to pursue that tag team with him. I think we were just starting to get things running and doing really well, and then the whole Hepatitis thing happened and that was the end of it. But Nick, I’ve always liked him. I think he has that sort of larger-than-life personality. When he walks into a room, he’s the center of attention. That’s the sort of personality you need to really draw money and I’m hoping TNA can do that with him."

Former TNA wrestler Crimson, who was released last month amongst a host of other talents, was a guest on Pancakes and Powerslams. Here are some key points regarding the interview:
The transition from TNA to OVW
“It was an easy transition. Prior to OVW I sat at home for a couple of months. I made the call to Al Snow and said can you use me in OVW, and he said sure. It was a double-edged sword. I loved working with Al. At the same time there was a lot of frustration staying at home. What it did was allow me to sit back and work on more character development. I heard nothing but great feedback. The hopes were to get that [military] character on TV.”The details regarding his release
“Word was going around that they were ready to clean house. I didn’t expect to be released. I was hoping that they would have enough faith in the investment they’ve made the past three years. I got a call from Al Snow. Once I had him on the phone I kinda knew what it was. I wasn’t too upset. We leveled with each other and that was it.”The reason behind his departure
“The way I was explained it was more budget than anything. Going on the road is a big expense for TNA. They had to do a restructure and some of that talent who were sitting home making money had to be let go. All I know is they are using budget cuts as the reason. Other than that, I don’t know.” -

- In a series of tweets about TNA, Kevin Nash criticized the company claiming it has no direction. He suggested TNA put Jarrett in the process to see improvement.

"TNA has great talent just no direction. Let Jeff Jarrett become part of the process and watch the numbers."

Lex Luger spoke briefly with WrestleZone about his thoughts on Sting, Dixie Carter and TNA.
On his relationship with TNA Hall of Famer Steve "Sting" Borden:
"I did his induction into the TNA Hall of Fame. A friend is a friend at all times - Proverbs 17:17. I'm very thankful to have him in my life. He's a mentor, he's a friend, he's a confidant. We have a great love for each other, and I treasure that very much. He was there for me through the best of times, and the worst of times. It's hard to really put into words what his friendship means to me."On the negative press towards Dixie Carter and TNA as a whole:
"They worked long and hard in developing that company. It would be a shame to see it just go up in smoke, you know? I wish them the best. I really like Dixie; I got to see her again at the Hall of Fame. She really loves the business and the company, so I'd like to see them succeed for sure. I don't know Dixie well, but she's always been wonderful to me. We sat together at the Hall of Fame, and was just a first class lady."ZitatFollowing Fightmaster's series low viewership of just 398,000 viewers last week, Spike TV will be moving the show from its original Wednesday timeslot to the timeslot following IMPACT Wrestling on Thursday's starting tonight. Spike averages between 700-850,000 viewers for their primetime lineup (which IMPACT is consistently above and Bellator has been below). Spike is hoping that having TNA as a lead-in will increase Fightmaster's viewership.

TNA will be launching a second screen experience starting with this Thursday's Impact Wrestling broadcast. The company will have pre and post-Impact shows as well as material airing during commercials. The idea here is to do something similar to the WWE App material, only broadcasting it via Youtube. TNA was doing similar material via their Roku channel before WWE launched the App.

Former Gut Check contestant Ivelisse Velez recently spoke with The RCWR Show about a few TNA topics.
You got a little bit of history with TNA because you did the Gut Check and all. Any chance we might possibly see you join them on a part-time or full-time status?
"Well, that is a very big question mark. After I did the One Night Only PPVs – the Knockouts one and the World Cup – there hasn’t been any other requests for me to do any other stuff. So, it’s a big question mark."Is there anyone on the Knockouts roster that you would like to work with for a couple of months?
"I’d like to do something with Gail (Kim). I think so far she’s done a great job being a leader, as far as trying to work consistently and keeping a consistent program with everyone. Also Mickie (James), I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with her on the One Night Only PPV. I would say those two."Knowing what you know about what's going on with TNA, with the releases coming left and right, is there a little part of you that's kind of glad that you're not with the promotion right now?
"I really don’t know. Regardless where it’s headed, I just see it as an opportunity. If I would have gotten signed at that time, it’s an opportunity. The future is uncertain. It could seem that way and it doesn’t happen, or it could seem that way and it does happen. But at the end of the day, it’s an opportunity that I wouldn’t want to let pass. You make what you can of opportunities."Zitat- Sam Shaw, who has not appeared on TNA Wrestling programming since June at Slammiversary, has not returned to the promotion's Louisville, Kentucky based developmental league Ohio Valley Wrestling—he was assigned there late last year after being awarded a contract through "Gut Check."
