Davey Richards Leaving GFW Impact To Become A Doctor
Davey Richards, one-half of The Wolves tag team with Eddie Edwards, announced today that he is leaving GFW Impact to focus on his lifelong dream of becoming a doctor.
Richards turned heel on Eddie earlier this year and had a mixed-tag match with his wife Angelina Love against Edwards and his wife Alisha at Slammiversary XV.
It should be noted that there is an entire Reddit thread dedicated to Richards' history of leaving various federations and announcing multiple retirements, so perhaps this should be taken with a grain of salt.
But the fact remains that about 5 hours before announcing his pseudo-retirement, Richards posted this:
So it certainly seems like this is a new direction for his career.
PWInsider are hearing Davey Richards' release from GFW was unconditional, which means he could pop up anywhere he wanted to wrestle for going forward. Richards stated he asked for his release to pursue medical school.
Verständlich, dass er das sinkende Schiff verlässt. Ich finde ihn verdammt talentiert und jede Promotion würde ihn mit Kusshand unter Vertrag nehmen. Vielleicht sieht man ihn ja bald bei WWE/ NXT.
Former TNA Knockout Champion Leaving GFW
On Twitter, 6-time Knockout Champion, Angelina Love announced she asked for her release from GFW and it was granted today.

Love first started with the company back in 2007, forming the popular Beautiful People stable and returned four times throughout her career. More recently, at Slammiversary XV, Love worked with husband, Davey Richards, as the two lost to Eddie and Alisha Edwards in a Full Metal Mayhem match.
