Wie Combat Zone Wrestling nun offiziell bekannt gab wird man ab sofort mit einem neuen großen Partner auftrumpfen. Locomotive Vision, ein bekannter DVD Produzent, wird sich ab sofort um die Vermarktung der CZW DVDs kümmern. Bereits in der nahen Zukunft sollen viele DVDs weltweit vertrieben werden.
Tom "Smitty" Smith, US Managing Director von Locomotive Vision, äußerte sich wie folgt zur neuen Partnerschaft: "Locomotive is extremely excited to be working with CZW Wrestling. Their rapidlygrowing popularity and rabid fan base makes this a very attractive partnership. Now entering their ninth year, CZW has shown that they have what it takes to succeed in the ultra-competitive world of sports entertainment. We are looking forward to utilizing our strengths to maximize the presence and sales of CZW Wrestling video at all levels and further increase their position as a premiere wrestling division."
Auch Combat Zone Wrestling Gründer und Promoter John Zandig gab eine offizielle Stellungnahme ab: "It's exciting to know that Locomotive is planning to really get behind CZW and help push the company to the next level. This deal will enable us to reach many more fans throughout the country and around the world. It will help CZW grow as a whole. As DVDs sell, we will increase our market which, in turn, will allow us to expand our live events. We're thrilled to know that Locomotive is as excited to work with us as we are with them."
Combat Zone Wrestling soll damit, wie Zandig selber sagt, auf die nächste Stufe gehoben werden. Es wird interessant zu sehen sein wie die 9 Jahre alte Promotion Unterstützung von "Locomotive Vision" erhält. "Locomotive Vision" wurde im Jahre 1996 von Musikproduzent Goyo Esteban gegründet. Bereits in Europa, Süd-Amerika und den USA promotet man viele CDs und DVDs sehr erfolgreich.
Auch in Deutschland dürfte "Locomotive Vision" ein Begriff sein: Seit dem Jahre 2002 besitzt die Firma einen Sitz in Köln. Der zweite überhaupt in Europa nachdem ein Sitz in Madrid bereits seit längerem bestand. Die Chancen, dass DVDs von CZW also in der Zukunft auch in Deutschland vertrieben werden scheinen nicht schlecht zu stehen.
Erste Produkte der Kooperation sollen in den USA ab Sommer 2008 erhältlich sein.
