World Wrestling Entertainmant plant nach dem Erfolg des WCW Starrcade DVD-Sets ein weiteres DVD-Set über die WCW, welches den Namen "The Rise And Fall Of WCW" heißen soll. Wann dieses DVD-Set erscheinen soll, ist bislang jedoch noch unbekannt.

WWE Home Video plant ein neues Meisterwerk. So möchte man in einer Dokumentation, die der ECW-DVD "The Rise and Fall of ECW" ähneln soll, den Auf- und Abstieg von World Championship Wrestling (WCW) beleuchten. Nähere Information hierzu liegen bisher jedoch nicht vor.

Die WWE plant nach ihrer DVD über die Geschichte von Extreme Championship Wrestling, mit dem Titel "Rise and Fall of ECW", nun eine ähnliche Produktion über World Championship Wrestling. Was den Titel angeht war man nicht sehr einfallsreich, so wird die DVD den Titel "Rise and Fall of WCW" tragen, jedoch versuchte man einen interessanten Mann hinter der WCW zu engagieren. So kontaktierte man den ehemaligen WCW Head-Booker Eric Bischoff, damit dieser seine Meinung auf der DVD kundtun könnte. Über twitter.com erklärte Bischoff jedoch, dass er nicht an der Produktion teilnehmen wird, da er keinerlei Interesse hat, mit Vince McMahon und der WWE zusammen zu arbeiten.

Derzeit arbeitet die WWE an ihrem lang erwarteten DVD-Release von "Rise and Fall of WCW". Um die Dokumentation so authentisch wie möglich zu gestalten, versucht man im Moment allen wichtigen Personen der ehemaligen WWE-Konkurrenzliga für das Projekt zu gewinnen. Neben Eric Bischoff und Vince Russo hat man nun sogar bei Medienmogul Ted Turner (damaliger Besitzer und Boss der WCW-ausstrahlenden Sender TNT und TBS) sowie beim ehemaligen TBS-Präsidenten Bill Shaw um ein Mitwirken an der DVD gebeten. Beide haben jedoch abgelehnt.
