Januar 2017 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana wurden mit WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose, The Miz und Dolph Ziggler drei weitere Teilnehmer für das 30-Man Royal Rumble Match beim WWE Royal Rumble 2017 am Sonntag, den 29. Januar 2017 im Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas offiziell bestätigt.

Außerdem wurde in der aktuellen Episode von „205 Live“ offiziell bestätigt, dass WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann seinen Titel beim WWE Royal Rumble 2017 gegen Neville verteidigen wird.
