    Der Wrestling Observer Newsletter berichtet, dass sich Shawn Spears, welcher bereits bei ECW im Jahr 2008 unter dem Namen Gavin Spears bei World Wrestling Entertainment aufgetreten ist, für die neue Staffel von WWE Tough Enough beworben hat.

    Wie der Wrestling Observer Newsletter berichtet, werden die Offiziellen von World Wrestling Entertainment in dieser Woche die in Tampa, Florida beheimatete Farmliga Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) besuchen und dort einige FCW Talente für eine mögliche Teilnahme an der kommenden "WWE Tough Enough" Staffel auf dem USA Network interviewen.


    Bislang kamen bei "WWE Tough Enough" in der Vergangenheit lediglich nur nicht unter hauseigenen Vertrag stehende Talente zum Einsatz.


    Die Castings zur neuen Staffel sollen erwartungsgemäß noch bis Januar 2011 fortgeführt werden, während die Ausstrahlung des Formats im Frühjahr 2011 beginnen soll.

    Auf der Website realitywanted.com wurden nun sämtliche Bewerber für die neue Staffel von WWE Tough Enough veröffentlicht. Neben zahlreichen unbekannten Personen befinden sich auch bekannte Gesichter aus dem Euro- & Independent-Wrestling unter den Bewerbern, darunter Alpha Female (bekannt durch ihren Auftritt bei DAS SUPERTALENT auf RTL), Blue Nikita (bekannt aus GSW Shows) und Murat Bosporus (bekannt aus GSW Shows und der ProSieben Show "Solitary").


    Hier könnt Ihr für die drei oben genannten Personen abstimmen, um ihnen einen Vorteil zu verschaffen, in die engere Auswahl der WWE Tough Enough Show zu kommen:

    Schlecht nachgelesen die Damen und Herren in den Casting Anforderungen. Das Casting ausschreiben ist national, sprich USA weit.


    Mal schauen ob es ihnen trotzdem was bringen wird ... wäre schade wenn beide als Diven enden würden. Dann gibt es wohl keine vernünftigen weiblichen Wrestler mehr in Europa.


    Wie kann man eigentlich, nach der Ausrichtung, noch zu WWE gehen wollen? Frag ich mich schon irgendwie... ROH oder TNA wäre da wohl eher ein Ziel, wenn man das ganze Pro machen will. Nicht umsonst lehnen die besten Wrestlerinnen der Welt (Sara del Rey, Haze ) eine WWE Verpflichtung ab.

    Wie der Wrestling Observer Newsletter berichtet, soll World Wrestling Entertainment mehr daran interessiert sein, Wrestler mit Erfahrung für die neue Staffel von "Tough Enough" zu rekrutieren, statt unerfahrene Neulinge. Zudem sollen die Verantwortlichen der Castings in der vergangenen Woche verstärkt bei Independent-Wrestling Promotern nach Talenten, die WWE Potenzial besitzen, angefragt haben.

    Wie "The New York Times" berichtet, soll das Format "WWE Tough Enough" am Montag, den 04. April 2011 unmittelbar vor WWE Monday Night RAW und einen Tag nach WrestleMania XXVII auf dem USA Network seine Rückkehr feiern. Die offizielle Ankündigung seitens World Wrestling Entertainment soll noch am heutigen Tag erfolgen.


    Bei "WWE Tough Enough" werden insgesamt 12 Männer und Frauen um einen einjährigen Vertrag bei World Wrestling Entertainment gegeneinander antreten.


    World Wrestling Entertainment möchte mit diesem "Scripted Reality"-Programm jede Woche gezielt neue Zuschauer für ihr RAW Produkt gewinnen, die sonst keine Live-Wrestlingshow einschalten würden. Deshalb ist die Platzierung vor WWE Monday Night RAW eine strategische Entscheidung seitens World Wrestling Entertainment und USA Network gewesen, wie WWE Executive TV Producer Kevin Dunn verkündete: “It’s a way to bring eyeballs to the WWE product that wouldn’t necessarily watch a live event wrestling show.”


    Kevin Dunn bestätigte zudem noch, dass das USA Network bereits schon seit Jahren mit World Wrestling Entertainment Gespräche über eine Rückkehr von "WWE Tough Enough" führte.

    LOS ANGELES, CA –January 3, 2011 – USA Network has given a ten episode order to “WWE TOUGH ENOUGH,” a non-scripted series in collaboration with World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. and Shed Media US. “WWE TOUGH ENOUGH,” slated to debut April 4, 2011, will feature a group of twelve individuals looking for an once-in-a-lifetime shot to become the next WWE Superstar or Diva. The grand prize winner will be awarded a contract with WWE, joining its roster of talent.


    “WWE TOUGH ENOUGH” will premiere at 11/10c the day after WrestleMania® XXVII and immediately following USA’s ratings juggernaut “WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW®.” It will then move to its regularly scheduled slot, Mondays at 8/7c, starting on April 11th.

    Was ich mal sehr reizvoll finden würde wäre so eine Art Comeback Show. Das gabs doch mal bei SAT 1, dort traten ehemals erfolgreiche Musiker auf, im Kampf um einen neuen Vertrag.


    Das wär doch mal was. Gibt doch genug alte Säcke die nur zu gern zur WWE wollten.

    Na ja, von denen hört man doch jetzt auch nichts mehr. Ich denke, das wäre in der WWE genause, dass diese dann nur noch versauern würden.


    Ich kann zwar immer noch kein so richtigen Unterschied zwischen Tough Enough und NXT erkennen, aber irgendwie war mir Tough Enough symphatischer. Obwohl ich die letzte Staffel auch nur so am Rande mitbekommen habe. Eigentlich wäre es auch schwachsinnig, NXT weiterzuführen, da diese beiden Produkte ja eigentlich auf das selbe hinauslaufen.

    Derweil wird bei World Wrestling Entertainment spekuliert, dass WWE Chairman Vince McMahon eine große Rolle bei der kommenden Staffel von WWE Tough Enough auf dem USA Network einnehmen könnte.


    Allerdings soll dies derzeit eher unwahrscheinlich sein, da die Show in Los Angeles aufgezeichnet werden soll und somit einen großen Zeitaufwand bedeuten würde.
