As noted, the June 17th WWE RAW did a 3.05 cable rating with 4.15 million viewers coming out of the Payback pay-per-view. The rating was the same as the last week but viewers were up 4% due to more viewers per home.
In the segment breakdown, the show opened at a 3.04 for the Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk and Paul Heyman segment. Christian vs. Wade Barrett lost 194,000 viewers. Sheamus vs. Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow lost 164,000 more viewers. Backstage stuff with The McMahons, Vickie Guerrero and Brad Maddox plus Kane and Daniel Bryan gained 226,000 viewers. Randy Orton vs. Bryan gained 248,000 viewers for a 3.13 quarter rating in the 9pm time slot.
AJ Lee and Stephanie McMahon's in-ring segment plus Kaitlyn's attack gained 168,000 viewers, which would be good for that time slot. Kane vs. Dean Ambrose and the backstage segment with Vickie, Vince McMahon and The Shield lost 341,000 viewers - bad numbers for top stars. William Regal vs. Antonio Cesaro gained 41,000 viewers, which is a good gain for that time. The high point of the show came for the in-ring angle with John Cena and Mark Henry. That was one of the strongest points on RAW in a long time with a gain of 738,000 viewers for a 3.57 quarter rating in the 10pm time slot.
Henry's backstage interviews and Heath Slater vs. Chris Jericho lost 953,000 viewers. Viewers usually tune out around 10:15pm but not at that high of a level. Sin Cara vs. Curtis Axel plus more backstage segments gained 112,000 viewers. Alberto Del Rio vs. CM Punk in the main event plus the post-match attacks from Dolph Ziggler and Brock Lesnar gained 636,000 viewers for a 3.42 overrun rating.
