From the WWE Rumor Mill: Stephanie McMahon could be brought back to television
Stephanie McMahon's reign of terror looks set to continue.
If the TV ratings for Monday Night Raw continue to flounder, Stephanie McMahon may return to television — according to a report from Cageside Seats.
Stephanie McMahon hasn't been a regular on television since her bump during Triple H's match against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 33. However, the 41-year-old did appear on the September 12, 2017, edition of SmackDown after Vince McMahon was assaulted by Kevin Owens.
Monday Night Raw's ratings are usually at their lowest during the NFL's regular season, which usually lasts from September to December. This is primarily due to the flagship Monday Night Football program which usually goes head-to-head with Raw.
It's also no secret that WWE's TV ratings have been on a gradual decline since 2001. In fact, Raw has garnered fewer than 3 million viewers on numerous occasions during the last two years.
Vince McMahon has previously attempted to combat Raw's sagging ratings by featuring Triple H and Stephanie McMahon heavily, so there is every possibility that the Billion Dollar Princess could return to television soon.
There were several rumours suggesting that The Miz-Kurt Angle storyline would end with the return of Stephanie McMahon to Monday Night Raw. However, the A-Lister is now in a program with Roman Reigns, so those plans may not come to fruition.
