The Undertaker nach dem WWE Royal Rumble 2017 angeschlagen

Wie WrestlingINC berichtet, stand The Undertaker lediglich 8 Minuten und 46 Sekunden im 30-Man Royal Rumble Match beim WWE Royal Rumble 2017 und konnte in dieser Zeit mit Baron Corbin, Bill Goldberg, The Miz und Sami Zayn insgesamt vier Superstars eliminieren. Dave Meltzer berichtet in der neuesten Episode vom Wrestling Observer Radio, dass sich der Deadman beim Royal Rumble-Match in keiner guten Verfassung präsentiert hat und nach dem Match backstage unter Hüftschmerzen geklagt haben soll. Dave Meltzer wörtlich:

„So Undertaker, he was hurting real bad last night. I mean you could look at him and you could see that he wasn’t in shape, and you know… it’s the hip. You know… I mean there’s nothing else to really say about it. He’s got two months before WrestleMania. He had surgery. He came back to quick from surgery, I think that’s pretty clear. But you know it was the time and they had a story… and the way that the match was structered he really didn’t have to do a whole hell of a lot. But even that when he was backstage he was hurting a lot. So… yeah that’s the gist of the thing with him.“

Erst in der vergangenen Woche vermeldete Dave Meltzer im Wrestling Observer Newsletter, dass The Undertaker eigentlich eine künstliche Hüfte benötigt, sich jedoch aber dazu entschlossen haben soll, diesen Eingriff erst nach dem Ende seiner aktiven Wrestlingkarriere vornehmen zu lassen. Für WrestleMania 33 am Sonntag, den 02. April 2017 im Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida plant die WWE bekanntlich aktuell ein Match zwischen The Undertaker und Roman Reigns (Heel).
