Am Samstag, den 01. April 2017 findet in Lakeland, Florida das ROH-Event „Supercard Of Honor XI“ statt. Auf ROHWrestling.com wurde nun offiziell bestätigt, dass das ROH World Tag Team Championship Match zwischen den amtierenden ROH World Tag Team Champions The Hardys („Broken“ Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy) (c) und The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) ein Ladder Match sein wird.

Nachfolgend die offizielle Mitteilung von Ring Of Honor:

The much-anticipated showdown for the ROH World Tag Team Title between newly crowned champions Matt and Jeff Hardy and former champs The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) at Supercard of Honor on April 1 will now be a Ladder Match!

It’s well-documented that ladder matches have been The Hardys’ speciality for decades, but The Young Bucks are no strangers to ladder matches themselves. At the All Star Extravaganza pay-per-view last September, The Young Bucks defeated The Addiction and The Motor City Machine Guns in Ladder War VI to win the ROH World Tag Team Title.

The issue between The Hardys and The Young Backs began as a war of words on social media and escalated when Matt Hardy appeared via video at the Final Battle pay-per-view in December to warn the Jackson brothers that The Hardys were coming for them.

After The Young Bucks successfully defended their title against Jay White and Lio Rush at Manhattan Mayhem on March 4, The Hardys appeared in the ring and issued an impromptu challenge for the championship to the shock and delight of the sold-out crowd at Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom. The Young Bucks accepted the challenge but The Hardys walked out as the new champions.

The next clash between The Hardys and The Young Bucks was a Triple Threat Vegas Street Fight that also involved Roppongi Vice on March 10 at the ROH 15th Anniversary pay-per-view. The Hardys retained their title in a violent spectacle that featured the use of tables, ladder, tacks and trash cans.

After the match, The Hardys seized The Young Bucks’ prized Superkick Party Title belts and left with them. The Young Bucks took to Twitter to ask The Hardys to hang their Superkick Party title belts above the ring for the Ladder Match at Supercard of Honor in addition to the ROH World Tag Team Title belts, and Matt Hardy quickly agreed to do so.

“Consider it done,” Hardy tweeted back. “I’ll also hang a Hand of Bananas to give you Spot Monkeys some extra motivation. You two are gonna need it.”

Will The Hardys retain the ROH Tag Team and Superkick Party belts, or will The Young Bucks again ascend to the top of ROH’s tag team division?
