Am Samstag, den 08. April 2017 findet in Baltimore, Maryland das ROH-Event „Charm City Excellence“ statt. Auf ROHWrestling.com wurde nun das erste Match für das besagte Event offiziell bestätigt. So wird „The Villain“ Marty Scurll seinen ROH World Television Championship Titel gegen Frankie Kazarian verteidigen:

Be the first to see the fallout from Ring of Honor’s BIGGEST Supercard of Honor ever as the William J. Myers Pavilion hosts an international television taping on Saturday April 8 with a SPECIAL 2 PM BELL TIME!

“The Villain” Marty Scurll secured the biggest win of his career at Supercard of Honor XI, defeating former three-time ROH World Champion Adam Cole with his signature Crossface Chicken Wing, solidifying his quest to prove the ROH World Television Championship is THE Championship in ROH. With recent title holders like Jay Lethal, Tomohiro Ishii, Bobby Fish, and Will Ospreay raising the title’s worldwide prestige, “The Villain” has caused a “Spot of Bother” with victories over Ospreay, Jonathan Gresham, Juice Robinson, Donovan Dijak, Sonjay Dutt, Lio Rush, and Kenny King.

But he will face his biggest test yet in Baltimore when “The Villain” meets the number one contender, “The Heavy Metal Rebel” Frankie Kazarian! Kaz won a Six Man Mayhem match at 15th Anniversary to earn his championship opportunity just before helping his best friend Christopher Daniels outsmart Bullet Club.

In the best shape of his life, the two-time ROH World Tag Team Champion Kazarian is focused and determined to capture his first singles championship. Kazarian will be the smartest opponent Scurll has faced yet, with his accolades and accomplishments running long and deep. Certainly, Scurll has proved he can defeat opponents of all sizes but Kaz will have the experience edge heading into the bout.

But Kaz does carry baggage into this Television Title match: Hangman Page was sent by Bullet Club to exact revenge on Kaz at Supercard of Honor XI and cost him a match against Punishment Martinez. This is in contrast to Scurll who is flying high, relatively unscathed following the biggest match of his career.
