With seven entrants already revealed, Ring of Honor matchmaker NIGEL McGUINNESS has announced that a YouTube exclusive, FOUR-WAY FUTURE OF HONOR bout will determine who will assume the eighth and final entry in this year’s quarterfinals!

When asked for comment, McGuinness told ROHWrestling.com: “There are so many talented young competitors that we see at our tryout camps and seminars. So many deserving up and comers just need a shot to show that they can be the future of professional wrestling. By creating this first-time ever YouTube Exclusive Future of Honor Four-Way match, we are affording that opportunity to four competitors that have caught our eye that have earned an opportunity.”

Who will those competitors be? McGuiness provided three names: Leon St. Giovanni, “The Outlaw” Ken Phoenix, and David Starr. The fourth? Well, McGuinness is keeping that a surprise! “If LSG, “The Outlaw”, and Starr want to prove their mettle,” McGuinness told ROHWrestilng.com, “they will have to show that they are adaptable in any situation!”

St. Giovanni, also known as LSG, has been on the radar of ROH officials for some time. A product of the World Famous Monster Factory, LSG made his ROH television debut in January 2015 in Nashville in a losing effort against the Decade in a six-man tag but continued to compete in the Northeast and Midwest independent scene. With a victory in the Top Prospect Tournament, LSG could earn a one-year ROH contract and a World Television title opportunity!

“The Outlaw” Ken Phoenix may be recognizable to ROH fans based on his recent tryout with the HOUSE OF TRUTH on Ring of Honor Television against the All Night Express. Avid ROH fans know that Phoenix has been seen on Ring of Honor cards teaming with “Dirty” Andy Dalton and is looking to cement a spot in Ring of Honor with a victory in the top prospect tournament!

Starr has perhaps the fullest resume of the group. With a strong amateur background, Starr has been known to use submissions, suplexes, and a sound mat game to defeat his opponents in the North, East, and Midwest. 2015 was Starr’s best year yet as a pro and he enters 2016 with an opportunity to secure a one-year ROH contract and a World Television title opportunity!

The biggest wildcard in this FUTURE OF HONOR YouTube exclusive is obviously the mystery opponent! Have they already been selected? Is there still deliberation?! With “Go Time” rapidly approaching, McGuinness has given ROHWrestling.com no hints, keeping a tight lip stating that “whoever it is will be someone who is capable of taking the other three to the limit!”
