Nachfolgend die offizielle Mitteilung von Ring Of Honor:

The stars of RING OF HONOR return to Baltimore for AFTERSHOCK, as the fallout from the BEST IN THE WORLD pay-per-view will continue to be felt!

Baltimore has a rich pro wrestling history, and there’s no telling what might happen when the Best Wrestling on the Planet comes to Charm City!

Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness has just signed the following match for July 8th in Baltimore:

JAY WHITE vs LIO RUSH

Jay White and Lio Rush hail from opposite ends of the world, but they are very similar in a number of ways.

They’re both incredibly talented rising stars, mature beyond their years and obsessed with making it to the top in pro wrestling.

White, a 23-year-old New Zealand native who got his start on the U.K. independent scene, spent the past year and a half competing in New Japan Pro Wrestling and training at the NJPW dojo as a “young boy”

A high-flyer who is technically sound and well-versed in strikes and submissions, White has already created a stir in ROH.

While White was sitting ringside at the Best in the World pay-per-view on June 24th, Kamaitachi initiated a physical confrontation with him during the match between ROH World Tag Team Champions The Addiction and The Motor City Machine Guns.

White clearly has unfinished business with Kamaitachi, but he would be wise not to look past the dynamic Rush.

Since winning the 2016 Top Prospect Tournament earlier this year, the 21-year-old Rush has held his own against the best wrestlers in the world, including ROH World Champion Jay Lethal, whom Rush pushed to the limit in a match in April.

Rush, a Washington, D.C. native and graduate of the Baltimore-based MCW Pro Wrestling training school, will definitely have the “home field advantage” when he faces White.

White, however, is used to being a stranger in a foreign land, and he would love to make a statement by beating Rush in his own back yard.
