MMA source "Front Row" Brian noted on Twitter that CM Punk will be training with Roufusport for his UFC career. One of the fighters at the Roufusport facility is Ben Askren, who previously said UFC made an "amateur move" by signing Punk. Here is what Brian tweeted:
"---BREAKING--- @CMPunk will begin training at @Roufusport in Milwaukee January 5th. #ItsClobberingTime"
"Punk has a lot to learn. @Benaskren is one of the top wrestling coaches in the world. Duke one of the top striking. Perfect fit."
"And Milwaukee is what? 90 miles from Chicago? Punk can drive ip in the AM. Workout. Rest. Do another workout. Drive home. Repeat."

UFC star Cole Miller, who often trains with CM Punk, tells MMAFighting.com that he believes Punk will do very well in UFC. Miller said:
"This guy doesn't just have a chance, he's gonna kick somebody's ass. I think he'll do very well. I don't think he's trying to make a 10-year career out of this. But he's going to shake things up, whoop some ass and prove a lot of people wrong. I expect him to do very well against whoever they put up against him."
"I think most MMA fighters don't have any kind of ground. Most of them aren't good at all. Even in the UFC. There are plenty of exceptions, but when I say most, I mean more than 50 percent are nothing more than OK blue belts on the ground. I would rate CM Punk definitely above that."

CM Punk appeared on AXS TV's Inside MMA show on Friday. He said he's about 6 months away from his UFC debut and they won't be trying to figure out his opponent until he's ready. He's still on for a late 2015 fight.
Punk said he's been dropping a lot of weight and is looking to fight at 185 pounds. When he first started talking to UFC he was at 220 pounds.
Punk's coach Duke Roufus was there with him and said the training is going good but Punk has no fight ideas or concepts but he's working on it.
Jim Ross later appeared on the show and said Punk going to UFC has a lot of guys in the WWE locker room talking about MMA these days.

A sitdown interview with CM Punk will air on WTMJ in Milwaukee tonight at 10:15pm local time. Punk will talk about going from WWE to UFC and training with Roufusport, which is in Milwaukee. In a preview for the interview, Punk commented on going to UFC:
"I don't think I've ever told anybody this. If you watch NASCAR and you want to race in NASCAR, but you give yourself every excuse why in the world not to do it. I have a 9 to 5 job, a wife, kids, I can't afford it. Too expensive. And then you eliminate all that and just go after what you want to go after. That's just something I've wanted to do for a long time."

US-Dollar Strafschadensersatz (punitive damages).

CM Punk, Colt Cabana Facing Defamation Lawsuit from WWE Physician
ZitatDr. Christopher M. Amann, a ringside doctor who works for World Wrestling Entertainment, has filed a defamation lawsuit against former superstars CM Punk and Colt Cabana for comments the pair made on the latter's podcast last year.
According to Bethany Krajelis of the Cook County Record, Dr. Amann says Punk and Cabana, whose real name is Phillip Brooks lied about the level of care he received while at the sports entertainment giant. Amann also alleges that Cabana, real name Scott Colton, assisted Punk in attacking his character.
Speaking on Cabana's The Art of Wrestling podcast (NSFW language), Punk claimed Amann misdiagnosed an MRSA infection as a fatty deposit and failed to treat him when he suffered a concussion at the Royal Rumble.
"I knew I had a concussion. Everyone knew I had a concussion," Punk said, per Marcus Vanderberg of Yahoo Sports. "And they were like we want you to take this test and I said your test is bulls--t. I took the test while texting you [Colt Cabana] and listening to my headphones and I 'passed' with flying colors."
Punk then said Amann attempted to prescribe him antibiotics as treatment.
In his suit, Amann says all of Punk's allegations are false and that he went above and beyond to follow WWE's wellness protocols. He claims at no point did he and Punk remove a lump, nor was there a lump of Punk's described size to his knowledge.
“Amann was not requested by Brooks to treat and/or excise a lump, let alone a purple, baseball-sized lump,” the suit asserts.
Amann is suing Punk for defamation of character and for compensatory damages suffered due to his public outburst. The former WWE champion has since left wrestling and signed with the UFC to begin an MMA career.
Amann is suing Cabana for helping Punk "falsely depict Amann as a lazy and bad doctor," per Krajelis. Cabana has not been with WWE since 2009.
The suit seeks damages of more than $1 million. Neither Punk nor Cabana have released statements on the matter at this time.
